RaceFace is now being sold at MEC in Canada, I will never run their products again, which also makes me sad knowing the only Canadian component company will no longer be offered in any LBS's(Lambert dropped them as soon as they found this out)

Any lbs can still order directly through Race Face and receive the same dicount offered to MEC. Too many hands touch bike parts before they are sold, I don't mind that there is now one less.

Im sorry but MEC is the walmart of the outdoor world, and I refuse to buy from a company that does that, and I am sure there are many other shop owners and employee's like myself that feel the same way, nothing but Shimano, FSA, or Truvitiv on my bikes now.

Nothing like another ignorant bike rider that thinks they know everything about everything to post his smarts for everyone to see on pinkbike. MEC is a cooperative business, not a walmart. You should be comparing Lambert more to Walmart as they figure they can control who sells what in the bike industry. I say good work to RaceFace for supporting another CANADIAN based company.
oh btw, as long as there are professional mountain bikers out there being sponsored and still getting me and them stoked on riding i say that's a-ok in my books. Definitely like the vid, Ryan can rip!

well, he might not be as crazy as Darren, but I enjoy watching him ride. It´s fast and smooth, but not as "insane" as some other riders.

Willsoffe - your right I don't think you need skill to be a famous biker but you do need something: a connection, a lucky break but equally, motivation for hard work, a tolerance of pain, intelligence and unfortunately money.
