There's more to it than flipping a hardtail. But for the most part its the same concept.

learn a backflip on a trampoline and a diving board first, and more importantly gainers off a diving board, just to make sure you know wut that is its a inward flip, which means you are flying forward away from the board and backflip, its this kind of motion that will feel similar to flipping your faith, once you can go huge you will know it feels right

I can backflip on a trampoline, but I can't gainer... keep in mind that doing a backflip is SOOOOO natural off a jump compared to doing 360's. I would say that flips are easier than 360's...
