Wow Awesome edit, VOD! also i like how you only run a front brake, just so you have a brake to use joyride. lol
25/30 bucks
depends on the day and if its your first time or not, because the first time you go you have to buy a member ship card

This video was sick, but I found all the barspins kind of annoying after a while.
ps: please don't hate for personal opinions!

Its $20 on a weekday, $25 on a weekend - +$5 the first time you go.
Vid doesn't even do this place justice. I've always liked biking but this place is giving me the real motivation to buy a bike.

yea, chipboard. if its bare i wouldn't want to fall on it!!! splinters!! looks very clean and new there
Matt M you might not remember this but you taught me how to 180 at vanderhoof this summer
Sick vid, sick park, sick rider
I cant wait to go there

Insane riding. but the fact that it was constantly filmed with a fish eye lens while panning the camera drove my eyes crazy, its kewl occasionally, but non-stop is just annoying.
sick man were u wearin knee pads cause some times it just lookes like ur jeans had a sixsixone sticker on them

Canon Hv30 lacks the manual settings. Although, image quality is way better. Plus it's HD, native widescreen, looks less professional than the GL2, but it is in fact way better.
It has its flaws, but it's the best prosumer cam for that money.

yeah personally it didn't make a great vod for me, there were a few nice tricks, but when there are that many barspins it gets a bit boring! also i found the clicky hub intruded onto the song, which didn't go well with the riding anyway, and for me part of a vod is great scenery, and the fluorescent lit light brown ramps just didn't cut it. so it didn't do it for me. obviously this guy is good, but i don't think the vid did him justice. but just my opinion, think what you will.
i agree. the amount of barspins was ridiculous. makes me think he's a bit of a one trick pony, but there were a few other cool moves in there.
Yeah i thought there were too many barspins too, I counted 28 of them, he's almost as bad as Darryl Tocco.
he actually kills it beyond beleif... if u watch all the vids he has, u'll notice he got really good really fast & has amazing potential

There's more than one room to this place too, there is a set of box jumps in the room beside this one. The whole place is absolutely insane!
Great riding right! But great editing? What bloody editing? It has been cut and dubbed with a song, whoah that must have been like a half an hour of work! i m p r e s s i v e.
But unless the "minimal" edit, the riding says VOD loud and clearly!

Just wondered about some guys praising the editing.
I also more am disliking overedited Stuff like NWD, and how I said, absolutely without any question VOD-stuff by riding!

It depends, the right mixture I think.
You know, there are vids like this one where the riding is cool, and then there are other vids where the editing is cool.
When I said that there is no editing it was not supposed to be judgmental. It brought fun to look it, so thats somehow what I am looking for in a MTB-vid. But I think the perfect vid is when everything comes all together. You know, when you don´t just see some guy riding very well but also get an feeling for the thrill of a ride. When you see in the vid what drives you to do a Sport in which the risk of major injury and pain is an important element. In the perfect vid you can watch someone ride well and you can see, feel, taste the thrill and the pleasure of an great ride and you think yourself not just, "I can do that myself" but "I WANT to do that myself, right now and as long as possible."
A few Days ago there was this VOD with the Guy who lost a Leg. Stuff like that, when the rider, the editor and your mental cinema get together to drive you outside if there is water or snow is falling or even burning lava.
I love that shit and when all comes together and graps me then its more than "just" a sports video, then its ART!

Totally a well deserved VOD!

There is loads of snow outside here still (and this is an outdoor sport), and we have 2 days of clown biking in a row. I want to feel inspired to ride at some point. We only have the outdoors, no man made skate parks.
If you are going to put on clown biking, why not road biking and XC at least that is done outdoors!
Oh, nice riding, now go join the circus.... LOL

Spoken like a true moron!
You just made anyone that read your comment a little bit dumber than they were before. Seriously, that was the dumbest thing I've read in a very long time, both ignorant, and arrogant.

apparenty riding park or vert is "circus-like", what a guy, this is a bike site, if he wants to ride in a park, why the f*ck should you care, never the less write on his video.
Moron, ignorant and arrogant. Glad you can come up with a constructive argument without insult...
Must be an age thing, this type of riding has been called clown biking to my generation and my parents since they came out!
Yes he can ride a bike (and ride it very well), but I was also pointing out that if this is a bike site then it should cover all aspects of biking.
Nothing I have said is arrogant or ignorant.
Circus act link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYnA9Fas--w
/>The circus link shows some more very good riding.
FallingEqualsTrying - Sorry for having an opinion and expressing it!

soo all VOD's should express the different types and aspects of riding? I dont think thats how it works..
this site does cover all aspects of biking if you'd bothered to look at, for example, today's pod, you would have seen is an outdoor downhill pod, and there have also been numerous amounts of pods covering other aspects of riding. had you bothered to look at several vods to get an accurate opinion of the site's covering of biking, you would have seen freeride vods, downhill vods, outdoor park vods, and dirt jump vods in the first page of previous vods. pinkbike also covers aspects such as cross country, although these are rarely vods, as they are generally much slower and make a less exciting video for a vod. as for your complaint that it was not a road bike vod, perhaps you should consider that this is a mountain biking website. however, i would like to point out that even a mountain bike website does cover road biking, for example in this video. as i'm sure you'll notice the first bikes (and indeed the majority of the bikes ) in the video, are road bikes.

is that constructive enough for you?

brown-town. The guy is clearly talented on a bike. There is no doubt of that and I have never disputed that.
As for video 77754, where is his helmet! It is not about you, but those that have to look after you once you have crashed and brained yourself.
As for XC, I would imagine that we will not see a VOD of an XC ride for some time. I like the section of XC track with Chris Ball, Gump etc. in Earthed 4 when they are on Sky. Some of the nice XC we have over here.

and to bikeaddict. what i am trying to say is betsie's trying to make it seem like all VOD's need to cover ALL aspects of riding.. I haven't seen to many of those...
Well i think Pinkbike is trying to appeal to the majority, and lets face its that majority of people who frequent this site ride either downhill, freeride, or dj/ street. Look at the forum posts you tool, and the companies buying ad space, they recognize that most people on here come from one of these strains of biking. So what ever if most VOD's are park, or a dude ripping epic downhill, most of the people on here think its f*cking sick, and the rest still respect it, unlike ungreatful pricks like you betsie.
betsie
For one, I am older than you. Secondly I've NEVER heard that term before. I also did not insult you. I said "spoken like a true moron". I did not in fact call you a moron, merely pointed out that you sound like one. You spoke with pure ignorance. That is not an insult, just an observation and fact. The attitude in your post governed by the words you chose is arrogant to say the least. These are not insults, they are reality. If you are offended by the person you are well than that's your problem and no one else's. If you want to get down to it, the Circus is there for one reason. People like to see crazy stunts. That's all the Circus is, was, and will be. The only thing that has changed is the stage it's performed on. Last time I checked, there were all kinds of "clowns" at the last big downhill/slopestyle event. People wearing silly costumes, running around naked, etc., etc.
Pay attention because now I am in fact calling you a name. I agree 100% with brown-town. You are a tool! You obviously share no appreciation, passion, or love for the sport. All the wisdom you seem to be claiming with your age is missing the most fundamental aspect of what riding a bike is all about. Which is why anyone who reads your comment stands a chance of being dumber afterwords.

thanks ratbones.
you just cant say go join the cirus because he doesnt do your sport or if he rides indoors.

rattbones.. some insight for your information:
I am a member of the local club, area DH representative, club committee member (would have been club vice president if I did not race for a medium sized team), arrange trail building, have trail built all over Scotland, built and maintained the top voted XC race course for 3 years running (until I stopped doing the 1 hour drive each way to the location when the forestry change the land access rules a few of years back), arrange timing days with timing gear that I purchased and share with others at no charge, arrange uplift days and have built my own Dh track that I maintain. Guide visitors on local area trails (XC and Dh) when they are in the area, produce ride maps etc. Take youngsters to races and ride days, organise rides for the local club, visitors and friends, help out others with bike issues and have been involved and written articles for Pinkbike/southern downhill which are self funded. Generally I would estimate that I spend around 400 hours a year trail building and maintaining trails. I am currently building a new track (once the snow goes) which may be used up to national level. Do coaching for beginners and am part of a new venture when it comes to mountain biking.
I am lucky to have a lovely wife that lets me ride, build and train and a son that enjoys his bike also.
Not bad for someone without a passion for the sport!
I do race also in my spare time.
If I am a tool, let me be a mattock :o)

Hmm... Good comeback. I have a resume equally as long, but that's nothing to do with the post. However your post was dignified and not some childish retort. Good end to this as far as I'm concerned.
Park tools are much better.
Park tools are much better.
i agree,
but i think the best reason is that he want to do some barspins, so with a front brake he put the cable through the headset..
with a rearbrake the cable get stuck after a few barspins..
nice vod btw

i think alot of people called it on this being VOD. That park is sick so lucky to have some indoor crap to ride
I thought the same thing, I'd hate to go down on it after a couple months of abuse. I said go down on it.
that i one of the best videos ever that park was sweet and he floated around like water. props to thou.
Not a lot of flow to his riding. Bit of a trick ferrett. Way better than me but i just didn't really like his style.
Holy Dyna, somebody has lots of energy... soem of those lines where pretty long, SICK!!! and I know it's kinda beat but that old tune was great... How many mofo's know Pete Rock n CL Smooth these days?
sweet vid but needs more of a variety of tricks. wtf is that noise that happens from time to time?? is somone sawing?? lol
we were allowed in to the park before opening hours to film this. they where i guess repairing something in the other bike rooms.
[Reply]
dont see the big deal about this guy, sure hes good but theres thousands of bmxer's that are twice as good and have never been heard of
the park looks pretty cool and he had some good lines. but WAY TO MANY BARSPINS! if your gonna make a 3min edit of the same person at the same park at least have a bit of variation in the tricks.
everything is so clean. ur landings mostly everything. this is so vod. this guy was at this skatepark in california. hes beast!!!
sick ass riding we need more gnar raw riding no tricky editing and filming. If we formed like voltron the gza is the head, he's the genius of this shit.
honeslty, why is it so hard to do a 360. i prefer freeriding more, but whenever i try a 360 off like a 5 foot very steep jump, i never cann. all i can do is like 90. can anyone help?
Yer a beauty Matt
keep up the great riding
nice video justbmx
everyone who hated on this video is retarded its a savage display of talent
