Valdur Raak Promo '09
...night. Night time is usually when people sleep or party. When there is no rain, Vallu mostly doesn't do any of these things, because he rides bikes. He rides his bike for the fun, thrill of it and he likes russian girls // HD here - http://vimeo.com/9115976 // Song - Collective Efforts - "Until My Life Is Gone" // Enjoy!

What's with all you a*sholes and hating on the kids vid? Dude obviously loves to shred up the streets on his bike and the video was made well so who cares if the riding is subpar, he's new and he'll learn. Get over yourselves please....

Bunny hops, flatland 180s and wheelies will get you VOD now? Wow.
Decent editing though, but nothing special.

the kid rides because he enjoys it. he spends the nights in town just riding... even when it is -10 C outside and partially snowy, he still rides. i myself have never seen in our community a rider who does that...

sorry dudes if u dont like it, when the video was made, i had been riding only like 4 months maybe... i dont ride bmx because it shredds the joints, like i saw it in simpel session today... and bmx is so easy, i can do clean 360 and fakie 360 and grind endlessly, but u cant see that in a mtb world so often. dont know if u catch my drift... for all the haters, sorry that u didnt like it, i had some sweet drops and x ups allso in the material but it was shot during the daylight

i though the editing was good and the riding was alright , but i dont see why you would ride street on an mtb ( i ride mtb myself ) surely it would be way better suited to a bmx if all your gunna do is ride street and no park or dirt?

street mtb does not exist. it's all been done on a bmx ten years ago. sick of these bmx and mtb park/street VODs

you obv dont know anything mate, the street scene is massive, anyone can ride down a rocky hill with 200mm of suspension, but it takes akill and practice barspin a 10 set or 360 whip a jump box. thats why not as many people do it cus its actually hard.

+ 10 props to rigidrider94, i ride street and dh race in AM, and personaly street is much funner and hardder, eny hucker can ride a bike over a rock fast and huck of a 25 foot drop, takes no skill just balls, lol im tired of a*sholes like you thinking theres no street scene for mtb, havnt you notice most of the vods these days are street and dirt, less and less DH riding everyday,

i gave up riding around on a heavy, sluggish 26" hardtail and got a bmx.

no offence but that sucked haha you rode down a rooty hill and got about 6 inches of air of a rock well done! also your 3s look like death.. plus bmx is the easy way out.. if you can ride hard tail like a bmx then you are good in my eyes.

lets face it dh and street are both really fun but street is way harder that dh. to do something in street you have to practice it alot to get it down in dh you just ride the trail and pick lines to take

RigidRider, it doesn't matter if he got "6 inches of air off a rock", its DH and he was pinning it...

only reason you got pod is cuz u ride at night and have a good video camra, but your riding sucks

good edit and all, riding not up to par with VOD though. 357media knows his shit haha Larock's video's should be an instantaneous VOD when he posts them

Unlike everyone else i really liked it. And i think it totally deserves vod. if you take the time to appreciate all of the shots put into it and the editing its actually very well made. And being a street rider that location looks epic. Sure the riding was not the best but when did that become a requirement for vod.

It's got great editing.
It might not be the best riding, and there might be "better" vod potential, but you cant always be showing off the best of the best!
wouldnt you feel super pumped and motivated to see your video get vod one day? i would.

Guys, VOD in my opinion has nothing to do with how well the riding, shooting and editing is. If that were the case, nobody except people like larock and other guys who upload video trailers of ROAM or NWD/Freeride Entertainment would be in the spotlight. The decision to choose this was not a bad one.
Did anyone consider that it was shot at night? How the shots were composed and framed with the scenery? Or even the colors of the natural lighting??? All that takes time and THAT is what it takes to be creative.
I would love and can't wait to get my first VOD, congrats demz (even though this isn't your first)!

that was horrible, good filming but omg the riding was quite atrocious, the only thing he could do was 180 and jump from flat into a bank :o

I agree with StuHaight. I think that VOD and POD have more to do with showcasing the fun of riding bikes more than competing for who has the best filming, riding skills, or both. Of course I enjoy some PODs and VODs more than others but I don't think that it is a good reason to speak poorly of a riders abilities just because they aren't up to par with those on the professional level.
Besides, I doubt that the riders in the videos even have a say in whether or not their videos are selected. I may be wrong but either way criticizing riders for showing off is unwarranted if all they really did was post a video that happened to get chosen for VOD.
Anyways, great job on the video! Your 180s are smooth and I'm sure you'll continue to progress as you continue to ride.
