You really havent seen many BMX vids have you - street riders basically DONT wear helmets. They're riders, not f*cking corporate puppets trying to promote safe riding. I hate all this wear a helmet stuff, I partially agree with you and would advise anyone to wear a helmet, but all your "wear a helmet" statements do is further add weight to the parents "it's not my dumbass sons fault he bust his head open, his favorate rider doesnt wear a helmet" excuses. If everyone would just accept the fact that they're accountable for their own safety - then I think we'd be better off. Though I know what the insurance culture is over in the U.S. It's a f*cking joke.

Don't get me wrong. I don't think ANYONE should blame a rider for their kids death. I think this country is going downhill in that matter (suing for everything under the sun...), as well as many others *BUSH*, but the sad fact is that yeah, some kids do whatever their favourite rider does, helmet or not. Sure, some of these kids are eliminated by natrual selection, but hey, what about all the other kids who don't know better because their parent is compleatly oblivious that their only son is screwing up his life in more ways than just not wearing a helmet. I agree with you that if everybody just took responsibility for their own actions the world would be a better place, but the sad fact is that all the obese Americans aren't going to. I hate being lumped in with them.

see the big problem with this no helmet bullshit is that random shitty riders think they can get away with not wearing helmets just because everyone else can. Trust me if you saw all street riders wearing helmets chances are you would throw one on too. Personally i really couldnt care less about a kid cracking his skull open because he chose to be a complete idiot. But the way i see it, one of them has a serious fall and the rest of canada has to end up paying for his health care through taxes. So from whatever way you look at it buddy, if you dont wear a helmet, everybody loses. None the less this is one of the best VOD's yet... btw props to carpediem for standing up for people who dont feel like smashing their brains in

yeah i did. haha its true though, wear a f*cking helmet. who cares if its not "cool", the pro's that don't wear them know what they're doing, and they know how to fall without dieing. i personally can bail pretty safely, but i still wear one. its common sense.
