Combination of crap forks and doing a shocking job of landing. Needless to say this very jump I can now take in one at high speed without worry. This was when I first went to this bike park and had learned the basics of jumping but lacked the confidence, fracturing the wrist didn't help, lol.
Its a fair bit better now, I'm not the show off type to buy a 2k+ bike without the skills to use the tools. I started basic and have learnt all the skills to ride it well and maintain/fit parts. I did make the mistake of buying a 23" frame and have been using it for downhill. Replacing the frame is up next, need the chuck-ability as its limiting me atm
I'll have to post one of my more recently jumping technique, its a lot better now. This vid was filmed last July or so. Since recovering from the fracture been to Glentress in Scotland and that improved my abilities and speed greatly. I'm still not overly keen on being videoed ;-)
Believe it or not but that's not actually a jump haha. Sorry about the wrist though. Get back out there asap and keep trying!
