He is right, ride don't slide! skidz are for kidz! Try doing cutties instead. It makes you a better biker.

ooooooo so wrong! Skids use the rear brake. Cutties you actually lean your bike and shift weight around so that your rear tire loses traction and slides.
it has the same general effect as skidding except it is much harder to do and much less damaging to trails. Also once you do get the technique right it is easier to control (you go faster) since skidding slows you down.
