It should be pointed out that Ben cranked a rock at over 50MPH on a practice run, and unfortunately was not able to fix it properly before the race. This was not a failure of the device, but none the less very unfortunate for Ben.

Jcook, try being me seeing that, I shat my pants and shed a tear not knowing what happened until afterwards.
Ben cased a rock on a step down and needed new cranks and chain ring and decided to bend the outer bash back into place rather than replace it entirely. It worked but was not ideal and it left room for error on his run right where Gracia had his fail from a previous crash.
Nothing is impervious to damage it is foolish and arrogant to assume it is. This is something the biking community needs to remember and what the Moto world simply accepts.
Just Heartbreaking for Ben, that was his moment and he was fresh off of a win at the IXS DH Cup the weekend before.

Yeah I wasn't trying to be an ass. It was just my first exposure to the SLine guide was a broken one. CGs MRP dropped his chain on what most people will agree is a solid guide. I'm sure the SLine guide is sick. As I do dislike pulling apart my e.13 to clean out all the fecal matter from the bearings after they idler stops spinning. You guys make some good components and your pedals on my short list. I'm stoked to see that you guys are so responsive to dumb crap people post up on the internet. It really shows a commitment to your products. Definitely sucks for Ben though. Dude was up and couldn't stay on it.
