made me wanna go there, but you could have foind a better rider to promote it
davidchelli do u think mountainbike riding needs people like you coz im finding it hard to think of a reason one reason why ur not a f*ck wit
looks like a good place to sip some brews and have a chill time with some dank views but they need some bigger stuff....
ur right about the first two of ur opinions but if u go to that hill and hit the blacks ur gonna be surprised
Daivdchelli you need to chill out because I am sure they are trying there best and maybe it's because your a stuck up little B***h but they are probably better then you and we all know that you are just bloody jealous so shut up and let them make a frickin video.
and i think that those were like the safety patrollers or watever that were riding and im pretty sure they need qualifications to b able to work so there must b a reason for them going so slow
Looks like a pretty sick place, but nothing especially taxing. looks good fun though, and you should have used better riders on a promo vid.
Nothing taxing?
you should ride there for a day and tell me how un-taxed you feel.. Kicking Horse is crazy tough riding. Every rock there is a triangle of doom.. bring armor!! That hill will ride you harder than the 89 Denver Broncos.. NO LUBE. 4300 vertical feet on ever ride from the top.. 40+ minutes if you stop for water.

Triptex is right... this place goes off and will rip you a new one in a heartbeat if you let your guard down.
so many things is could say, but i guessi have to stick with "that was awsome", can't wait to got there next summer..
It is pretty fun there
I got to ride there in late Aug. and the trails were just beat to shit. there was like 6 to 8 in braking bumps everywhere. I thik in a year or two that place will be sweet.

Best biking resort in the world (possibly the universe). I find that Kicking Horse is one of the only lift accessible biking resorts that does feel like you are going down a perfectly groomed bmx course. i love the exposed rocky trails and second guessing whats around every blind corner like you would on a privately built trail that you have not ridden before.
It improved a lot last summer. More wood, machinery and carpet has smoothened it out. The crew is going to keep working on that this year.
I'm with japage, DH bikes don't have 8 inches so we can deal with braking bumps. The keyword in 'mountain', as in not manicured. That wide open stretch right at the beginning is especially what Whistler is missing, they don't really have much in the way of fast wide open singletrack. Might just be a symptom of having so many people right there though.
i agree with everyone and they could have used some riders that can show off wut you can really there
yeah, i agree, either those rider werent hitting any of the big trails, or the mountain just doesnt have anything big to hit
man sitting on top of that huge mountain eating at the snack with a nice and cold beer ( like in the vid) looks unreal !

I may have missed it but, where exactly is this? ...and do they offer "I got my ass kicked by a bear insurance?"
Very nice... Maybe next year if i am lucky. If anyone has riddent there before, is it relatively easy for a lone (out of town) rider to find someone to ride with and show him around?
As long as you are friendly it is pretty easy to find people who go your speed. That is the key. With almost 4000' of vertical, it is nice to have a well-matched group so you aren't waiting around forever.
wow want to go there for sure there is some huge slick rock ...you don't want to fail at the top of one and slide down on your ass.

man, that does look sick, but the riders wernt the shit, and i kno it is really rocky there, but the parts they showed werent too hard core, like i coulda done all, and i mean all of that shit they showed on my ht dj bike, i do like 10ft to flat all the time, no problem

good trails but y do the riders hav a giant pack on wat r they doing going on a three day treck in the mountains ;D
Those are some quality trails. Would be lucky to get stuff half as good where I live, the council is so stingey.
Keep in mind this video was made 2 summers ago, since then the place has really focused on "flow" and has improved greatly. Plus this is a promo for the resort and as such needs to appeal to a large majority of people. Having only videos of riders dropping huge cliffs and spinning 360's doesn't appeal to the average rider. Resort Mountain Biking is still in its infancy and is still growing, attracting new riders to the sport is the best thing that can happen and will allow the sport to progress much further.
