I had the chance to meet and race with Abel at the last Q-Cup in Camp Fortune. From those couple days riding it was clear he was a great rider and just an awesome guy to be around. When I heard the news earlier this week I couldn't believe it, it really hit home. I would really like to see some sort of memorial or commemoration at the Mont St. Anne Q-Cup next weekend. My best wishes go out to all the family and friends of Abel. Ride in Peace

VOD... What I learned is that Abel lost control after dropping about 10 to 12 feet in Mont Ste-Anne and hit a tree. This is very sad. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. RIP Abel.

This movies is made by me for a course at university laval "technique de l'image I" Abel was a great friend of me, i have sell to Abel is first DH bike a Devinci 8-flat-8 in 2007 after one saison he resell it for her last bike. Abel have accepted to turn the movie for me during the the day of 12 oct 2009 from 10 am to 2pm. I taken aprroximately 30 shoot of cam for filming all the DH trail World cup at Mont-Sainte-Anne.

Sounds stupid but Is that him riding in the video , wasnt sure? anyone know how old he was? Such bad news 2nd death in biking ive heard of this year along with 4x racer a while back in america somewhere
