I used to work in the bike shop this summer, and one of the guys who work there told me that it's important to choose the right lube, otherwise your spokes are going to get lose a lot sooner than usually. is it true?
what you can do is after your done, just spray some brake cleaner (or rubbing alcohol) on them the same way you put your lube on so it will dry most of it up. then its still lubed but not too lubed.
if you spray some on a lubed chain you'll see how it works. (not saying you should ride your chain like that, just to see the effect.)
