@kurtsucks, I have a pair as well (if your talking about the asterisk knee braces). I used em for motocross and loved them, i'm not sure how'd they'd be with pedalling involved though. If you've got knee problems i'd recommend CTi-2 braces (and get your insurance to pay for them).

Why is that documentary style videos seem to be gettin VOD?
Nice little video, but doesnt get me stoked, excited, or doesnt make me smile like the two linked above do. These type of video's are good, but to be fair, and correct me if im wrong, but no-one wants to know of somebody like this as much as they wanna see a PROPER video OF THE DAY.
My two bets for VOD's would be the two in the comments:

@kurtsucks,
You will not see the Astrix Havoc R in the States, they are not available here. Even though Astrix started in Colorado and they make the Havoc, Huckster, and Stryke as their DH,FR,and AM bikes. Astrix UK was formed and they took the USA Havoc lightened it up but still using the Moto Link and the PCA suspension design. I hear that the Havoc R rides well but they have had BIG issues with the frames breaking and or cracking right behind the head tube. Astrix UK is working on this issue and is suppose to have it cleared up now. Also reports say that the bushing/bearings are wearing out quickly. I believe that these are a few reasons that Ryan Carrol founder of Astrix has not started to offer that frame in the USA. The USA Havoc is a tank and does not have the issues with broken frames and uses much larger bearings in the linkage so the wear to them is minimal.
If you were to see the Havoc R in the USA it is because someone bought it and had it shipped in from the UK or it is a UK rider visiting with his bike.

why is it that theres so many bikes not available in thiis country? like the lappierre and mondrakers.

No Doubt! I would like to try both of those bikes. At least we can expect Devinvi to start selling bikes in the USA, or at least the Wilson . Actually the original Astrix Havoc is a super nice bike, much nicer in person than in a picture, well built, and tough.

Believe it or not, it is not as heavy as it looks. I just bought one and should be picking it up on Friday. When I went to take it for a test ride and saw it and was able to grab it, roll it, and pick it up I was surprised. I felt more of the weight on the front end due to the DC fork ( this was my first ride on a DC fork) rather than the weight of the bike. So we'll see once I put some miles under it.

Well i havnt actually built mine up yet, ive only just got the frame. But i was suprised at the weight when i picked it up. Its no superlight race specific machine such as a session 88, but its definately a respectable weight.

The frame looks nice, what build are you going to put on it?
kurtsucks and myself were actually talking about the Havoc not the Havoc R.

kurtsucks - there are plenty of bikes that aren't available over here either, or at least in VERY limited quantities, transition being one that springs straight to mind.
