Aaron Ross and Chase Hawk riding in Texas
seams aaron likes orange haha......but for me his bike is horrible......its like if a pail of paint spilled all over his bike....and he hates his f*cking bike......but he rides well haha
chase hawk super stylish...great
chase hawk super stylish...great
chase just makes ross look like a tool. chase is throwin tech ass shit with clean style and ross is having bitch fits the whole time
Ross did get shown up and he always freaks out but it seems like he wasn't feeling it the days they filmed because we have all seen him ride a lot better than he did in this video
used to be, i hate watching him ride tech stuff. He used to be a stoned version of gary young just shooting massive park gaps and dirt jumps but i havnt seen him do that since he joined cult
soda orange to be exact :p and that was really random and not really relating to anything we were talking about
I think he only had the different colored bike for the last sequence because he probably broke the orange one by throwing it all the time. I think it's silly to blame the equipment for mistakes...or to assume you can nail your intended line the first time, every time, to the extent that it enrages you when you can't. I used to like Aaron Ross a lot, but constantly seeing his temper tantrums in every video just makes me think he'd be no fun at all to ride with.
You do realize its not the second time when he throws his bike, its like 10 or 20 tries later. Aaron would be a sick guy to ride with, you would be stupid to pass up a session with him.
No I wouldn't. If you love him so much, that's perfectly fine, you ride with him... But EVERY video I've seen him in, he spends all sorts of time hurling his bike with complete disregard. I cant stand people with pathetic temper tantrums. I get pissed when I ride too, but I learned long ago that when I bent a handlebar or knocked my rear triangle out of whack throwing my bike, no bike company cheerfully hands me a free replacement. I was riding at a park out here and Chris Doyle and Brian Kachinsky were both riding there. I never saw ONE temper tantrum from either of those two when they messed up. Those guys were fun to ride with, very positive, approachable and friendly. The rode more creative lines too.
you try sitting a spot for 2 hours and not getting a trick, shit gets old. and no shit those guys are gonna ride more creative lines, last time i checked ross rode street.
You're saying he sits at a spot for two hours and can't land a trick? Bull. There is nothing you can say that will convince me he's not a man-child. I don't care how much raw ability he, or anyone, has. A cry-baby is a cry baby, and you can't tell me he does it for enjoyment when he spends half his ride time in a state of blind rage. He's a conqueror who throws hissy fits when things don't go his way. He probably doesn't enjoy it anymore. If I were in his position, with everyone expecting the world of me and with people like you preaching my gospel all the time, I'd probably hate riding too. He probably can't go anywhere without some moronic entourage wanting to ride with him just so that they could say 'I rode with Aaron Ross.' And so now he's absolved of riding boring lines because he rides street? I thought all of bmx was about creative riding. Stop putting the man on a pedestal, he's just another very good pro rider whose attitude really seems to suck. It seems to me that when some charismatic rider comes along, people will go to all ends to defend every aspect of that person, be they character strengths OR flaws, and I think that's what is happening here. All i can say is that everyone I've ever ridden with, good or bad, who throws their bikes around when they can't get something right simply bores and irritates me, and I think they're doing it for the wrong reasons. Enjoy the challenge, don't hate it.
You are literate, no? Now why don't you actually try and refute by expository rather than Socratic means, at least ONE of my points. Or are you just another of the myriad of functionally illiterate nincompoops what occupies their time with internet flame wars? I believe that people who lose their temper in that way are doing this for the wrong reason, spending time in a state of excessive anger is the antithesis of enjoyment. When I find I can't land some trick, I don't huck my bike across the park, particularly towards other bystanders. Instead, I sigh heavily, take a deep breath, relax and try again...I do all my best when in a relaxed state.
I reiterate: Aaron Ross frequently loses his temper and throws his bike. I deem this to be a childish act, one that betrays an inner instability on his part. I dislike being around unstable people, particularly ones who possess great talent and should be happy with what they've accomplished in their lives. My conclusion is that I would not enjoy to ride with him. I admire his talent, yes, but that doesn't make him my hero or my god. There are plenty of better pros out there to admire who don't also possess some irritating character flaw.

yes i am literate, and a bit hungover so i really don't feel like reading a massive paragraph that you wrote to respond to my 2 line comment. You don't know aaron and have never rode with him so you don't know what hes like.
oh and about your " he spends half of his riding time in a blind rage" comment, where the hell did you ever see him in a blind rage? your just trying to sound like your smart, he was pissed off at the most. In no way shape or form was that a blind rage.
Wow, it took you two seconds to respond. You are pathetic to sit at your computer just waiting to respond to me. I spent the last six hours riding at Ray's. I can keep this going on for days.
Or maybe I was just on pinkbike when you replied? What is up with the amount of people on pinkbike that think they are better than everyone, blows my mind.
just because aaron's sick and youre no where near as good as him doesnt mean you have to chat shit about him?
you are way over analysing it, aaron throwing his bike is just something we all know him for so it makes it into all his videos, it doesn't mean he is constantly pissed off, and holy shit why write a fvcking essay about it
urbaniste if you wanna see blind rage watch mutiny lets get mystical and there is a part where matt roe is in a blind rage. compare his bike throwing against aarons then tell me that aaron "spends half his time in a blind rage"
brett236 is such a bitch,he picks fights with everything and is completely narcissistic, he is in denial of everything and can not let others voice their opinion.
nick your the bitch. you just check my profile and comment on shit i do saying shit about me. grow up you give bc kids a bad name man. i voice my opinions and in this case i storngly beleive that aaron is not in a blind rage and im sure other would agree with me. he does throw his bike and im not arguing against that im arguing against urbaniste over exagurating this situation. he does throw his bike but im sure plenty of other riders do it to. nick you just need to shut up cause i sure as hell dont want to see you trying to say shit about me but ending up sounding like a butt hurt 6 year old
Gentlmen! This is getting out of hand
. I still have yet to see logically presented arguments, supported by cited evidence that Aaron Ross is not a puerile sycophant, despite his illustrious career. Sure, angrily whipping your bike around is one thing, but he wings his whip easily 50 feet at times, and near innocent bystanders no less! If I were to ride with him, I feel that's all I would take away from it; I would gain riveting insight into proper 'throwing your bike as far as is humanly possible' technique. I bet he does kettle bell workouts in order to throw his bike such staggering distances. He probably has to be careful he isn't cited by the FAA for class B airspace violation when he does it.
wow urban it only took you like 3 weeks to come up with that response, nothing is getting out of hand when its finished, now you just started shit again. Congratulations
i know you do, but nick just randomly atacks me on posts now because i called about about filming him breaking some kids lander. no offence intended to the chill guys in bc. just his little group of 12 year olds
not the last time i checked nick, and if you were "asking him to ride soon" whats with the wink face? unless your flirting with him or f*cking with me then there is no reason for it
how pathetic, everytime i get a little notification its usually just you guys bitching about one another... grow some balls and decide to finally mature, it helps you know!
you guys are just putting a great person down because he gets angry when he doesnt pull a trick, it just shows how much he loves to ride and when he cant pull the trick he gets frustrated, like everybody does im sure (he just throws his bike a mile
) just take a look at this link and say to me then that he is pathetic or whatever it is you said... http://espn.go.com/action/news/story?id=4368030 just dont jump to conclusions when you see how someone acts
sick video, almost inspires me to get into bmx, always thought bmx wasnt really for me, but maybe ill buy one and see how it goes, never really tried alot of stuff on a bmx. they make it look so easy.

where did you see chase going fast in this man? Since he joined cult i have noticed him doing less massive park gaps and more technical/street riding, dont like it one bit. I used to love watching him blast massive gaps and boost huge jumps, dont see that anymore with him.
aaron ross is good but there are MUCH better riders, he just gets attention for having crazy colored bikes
[Reply]
Not really, he is amazing at what he does but that is only one type of riding. If he was jesus of bmx he would be amazing at more than just technical street.
