Everyone keep in mind that advertising is the ONLY reason any of these companies go DH racing. Selling bicycles and parts to you, the consumer, is the goal. Yes working in this industry is a labor of love in most cases, Im not saying that is isnt. But Im not sure why people have such a negative view of promotional videos. They are usually pretty good, and they need to exist. These bike companys need to be profitable to exist and bring you the latest and greatest mtb has to offer. Advertising their product is vital.

I've got no problem with advertising. I do have a problem with pinkbike selling VOD to the highest bidder.

VOD is for the best videos, advertisements are often VOD because they put more money into the videos and are often of a higher standard than other videos
without sponsors and advertisements there wouldnt be things like rampage, world cup videos or anything like that

in what way is that naive? (at least im guessing you meant naive)
pick 10 sponsored videos at random and compare them with 10 amateur ones, chances are 9 out of the 10 pro ones will be better and more VOD worthy
if it were to do with money, every single vod would be a advertisement

Does Marzocchi advertise with PB? Havent seen any, I think PB just wants to put cool vids up. Plus, seems like Marz is doing a cool thing by sponsoring kids with a factory type program.

The 888 have always been a smooth fork for sure!
But, any fork set up with proper sag and progression to your bike and style should be just as smooth!

Just got a new 2011 888 EVO and they are amazing! 3 year warranty, and Marzocchi Canada for support if I need it. WOW, get one and ride, Marz is back for sure.

i am comparing my 2011 to a 2011 mojo tuned 40 (as well as various previous years) and every redesign of boxxer including race, team and wc's.

i preferred my 07 rc2x to everything else till i tried a 2011.....

nice vid... I would go back to Marzocchi if I had a full support team and rig to haul me around too. Unless it changed recently their customer service has always sucked compared to RS or Fox.

It works > doesn't work.
It's silent and sounds buttery > squeaks and sounds like it's gonna explode.
It's lightweight > can't make air work.
Good reputation > pooped on.
Doesn't need maintenance > can't get maintenance.
Looks bling > wtf.
I'm no mathematician, but I'm pretty sure dividing by zero doesn't work (might work a little better than a marzo) so we'll just say it's 10 times better Smile

Jk. the Marzochie stuff looks alright now that they got their stuff sorted (as you can tell I'm still bitter from the "ata" years). Looks like they got a fun team to ride on too!

My Pals new Marz 888's just lasted under a week and gave him a horrible race result (known as we were timing on his old ones the week before and people he beat by 20s on t 1min 20 track beat him), now they are off for warranty fixes or if he is lucky his money back. His race times were hideous with the new 888's (he was on the older 888's, which were also super un-reliable, but he rides better/faster on them).

A 2010 or 2012 Marz 888 requires less maintenance then a FOX or Boxxer. I've had both forks and the sucked. My new 888 is amazing. Its light and full of buttery smooth oil.
