Silvia - Branden Ostoforoff
Branden is one of my favorite riders to watch. He pumps and pops and slashes his way through trails with a fast paced style and he is growing up to be a full on trail slayer. Would you believe he is only fifteen? Watch Branden take his new Trek Session for a winter romp.

He's a lucky guy being 15 and kitted out with a session 88, full face, googles, full riding gear and protection including a neck brace and well as having decent trails to ride. Not sure what you guys re on about about being quite big for a 15 year old. Most 15 year olds are pretty much fully grown. I'm 14 and I'm a half inch short of 6ft.

kind of have to agree with the whole rich parents idea. not to say that the professionals are born with an ungodly amount of talent and are definitely at a whole new level above the rest of us, but if more riders had parents who were willing to drop $5000 on a bike like that at his age, i feel like there would be a larger number of professional riders out there. just my opinion. great vod though, this kid will be very famous.

I definitely agree with what you guys are saying because if i cud i'd rippin up local mountains and on a downhill bike or a proper dirt jumper, the only thats actually holding my skeez and style back is a heavy, clunky and big '09 Kat from Norco (which i've paid for all the custom stuff on it by myself). Tho i am majorly jealous i do love this video

Jesus Cyrix, who are you, Branden's fairy godmother? But don't take it personally Jason, we are all just jealous...

Am 8'6" and 500lbs, but do you ever see me bragging about it in the comments of a bike video where no one gives a crap? no.

I can't believe how lucky these kids are, when i was that young, i had to cut the grass for everybody in my neighborhood for the whole year to be able to buy a 200$ CCM bike...
- + 3
i think you'll all find that @ROCKYmtbBOY rides for Trek Australia ( if his videos are anything to go buy that is)

It's not that hard... If he has a job he could afford all of that. I am 16, and I know a kid who has a 2010 demo 8, a spesh stumpjumper and a p2 just from working at a bike shop with discounts. I know lots of kids are spoilt, but some, like me, have actually earned their money to sink on their bike(s).
- + 5
The kid is obviously sponsered, and money is not thaaatt hard to make. And even if his parents bought the bike...so what? Its kinda the same as parents paying for your collage fund.....its an investment in the future.
- + 1
an investment in the future... let me laugh a bit! that's the only thing i'm going to say about it.
If the kid is that good, i don't think he started riding DH last week, and as i know, legal age for working is 16. For sure it's all right if parents pay for their kids, (even if it is not an investment) good for them!
So what??? So they are lucky

Not sure what the age is in your neck of the woods, but I got hired at 14, to pay for bikes and skis. Being 15 and earning your gear isn't hard as long as your parents support you choosing to spend your time that way.
- + 1
t1000, as you know, you are wrong. Legal age is not 16. I know plenty of kids who were 13 and had jobs, Heck i knew little kids with paper routes making money, isnt that consider a job?
No really though finish what you were going to say after you laughed about the line "investment in the future" Obviously the kid is going some where if he is 15 and sponsered. If his parents DID buy him the bike they know all he wants to do is ride and is VERY talented in the sport and they potentially see him going somehwere.
All im hinting is jealousy here from you, on more than one thing. Him having a nice biker than you have or ever have had... or if his parents bought the bike, then your jealous your parents never could afford to buy you something very pricey and nice or understand f*ck all about riding to drop the money on something like it if they had the money...
Also, don't think just because he has a MINT bike means he bought it at one time? If he is sponsered through a shop or a company, he doesnt have to pay for anything in full at the time of purchase. For all you know it will take him 4-6 months to pay that off.
I have a custom BMX that has very quality parts on it from the shop i work for and have am sponsor through, and i know i did not pay retail MSRP or have to pay in full. Matter of fact i still owe money for my bike.

you have to put it in prospective, i know tons of kids who's parents pay $5000+ every year for them to play high level hockey, including my own. so what the difference between wanting to be in the nhl or on the world cup podium, same shit different pile.
- + 1
Pretty sure he got a several grand discount on that bike because of his sponsorship deal with Trek.
- + 2
@gooieshred I was about to say something of the nature of "hurr, hurr rich dick shit" but you actually didn't kind of change my prospective with that short comment. I used to BMX race with a shit BMX bike when I was 13 and my parents helped me out when needed. So, yeah. "Same shit, different pile".
- + 2
gooieshred i was about to do a comment on that because everyone on here i used to play hockey and its just about or more expensive for that as downhilling i ended up quiting to get a bike its soo true "Same Shit Diffrent Pile"
- + 5
Maybe because he shouldn't? I bet the majority of pinkbikers here aspire to have a bike like that once they go through college or uni and get a job through hard work and saving up, then treat themselves to a beast like that trek. sometimes kids gets things too damn easy nowadays, they don't fully understand the value of money and effort.
- + 3
Stop hating.. He has a nice bike but he also has the skills to require such a bike. What's to say his parents didn't scrimp and save to buy him that bike so he can progress faster and have a better shot at being pro.
- + 5
@Polmaise-hero . Whose to say he didnt pay for it himself or is sponsored? You just dont know so you cant go assuming that he's a spoiled rich kid. Anyway he deserves the bike he's a savage rider.
- + 1
I'm agreeing with the fellow scott. Took me ages to save, and all I've got is a big hit, which I'm slowly but surely upgrading. Everyone should start at the bottom. Means you appreciate it more when you get to the top.
- + 1
How do you know he didn't start at the bottom dougie and work his way up? You don't, you're just being a presumptuous douche.
- + 1
I'm totally chill. It's just extremely mean spirited for people to have such hatred towards someone just because he has something nice that they want. Maybe it's just me, but if I see someone with a nice bike I don't think "f*ck that a*shole, spoiled son of a bitch, he doesn't deserve it, he has to earn it, rabble rabble." I just think "nice bike." That's probably just because of all the gasoline and paint thinner I drink though.
- + 1
I don't have any hatred. More jealousy and I think the same. But the likleyhood of him having worked his way up and owning a session 88 at 15 is pretty low, I think. I get where you're coming from (: last part made me laugh.
- + 1
Youth is wasted on the young, by the time most people will have enough disposable income to spend 6k on a kit like that they'll be too old to really get into the sport and have a chance to excel and go pro. He's lucky, but let's face it, just because he's having more fun than you doesn't mean that over the course of his life he's going to have to work any less than any of the rest of us. Although, my buddy owned an 88 at 15 (he worked for trek and got the frame for a song because it was "damaged")

So what about the bike how many of us have been riding our whole life and are not as good as this kid that might be the real issue here. Who cares how he got it if he got a job he wouldn't be ridding as much and if he is sponsored he would have had to show skill on some other bike to get that on from who ever helps him out and chances are they didn't give that bike away for free but why do people have to pick that apart when this video is about a kid ripping a trail not oh I'm only 15 and check out my ride. If this kid passed you and stole your girl I guess it's all you got lift.
