i think most dirtjumpers wear helmets, its mostly street riders that dont, but anyway those were some crazy tricks.
i don't know what people have named it, but he flips the bike in one hand by just holding the handlebar, pretty cool

sick so thomas hancock is back on hes bike, i was there when he unfortunatly broke a leg bone at rays mtb park for the b.i.k.e. event while attempting a backflip x-up one footer, but its great to see him riding again let alone getting podium at an event

For DJs, BMX has it hands down over MTB for amplitude, tweaked-style, and creative trix any day. Watch Paul Bas or Cam McCaul or any of the new school MTBs, then watch Ryan Nyquist or Scotty Cranmer and you'll get my point (why not check out Scotty Cranmer's front flip whip on youtube right now?).
MTB has come a long way, but for DJs and street, BMX can't be beat. Killer fast single track and massive slopestyle air on the other hand....
