Riding at Santiago Oaks w/ Craig and Zak. tried some new trails - good times were had by all.

Wow, things always look steeper in the flesh than on headcam and those look STEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! Seriously nice trail. Nice riding!

the drop area is super fun. there is a bunch of different options, all with pretty good setup / landing.

For sure... Usually when it gets hot we hit it early in the morning... Maybe in a couple of weeks we'll try and get a group ride in again. Either down here or up in your area.

BTW, if Santiago is the same trail I'm thinking about, that's not a shuttle run correct?

cool - yeah, whenever you think is good - looking forward to checking that trail out. Santiago is all hike. You probably could shuttle it, but it would prob be more of a hassle than its worth.

I think there's a section called "Barham's Ridge" which is single track/switch back sort of trail which I'm told is kinda fun. And then there's the "Chutes" ?

Yeah - sounds right. there are quite a few different trails there - real fun and flowy, and a few slightly technical ones as well

One of the girls here at work does those Iron Man Triathlon's. She said she sometimes will run or XC Santiago as part of her work out. She said the climb is not steep but fairly long.
