Avid bb7 with Jagwire ripcord housing kit, and Avid clean sweep 3, 7" rotors. Best trials brakes in my opinion. Unless you are going up a waterfall
they dont work in the wet ?
im running stock hope trial discB but half way the pads, they dont work so good anymore.. looking for a different rotor
cleaning the pads wont help

They work in the rain, but if you have them submerged for a period of time the pad residue comes out of the rotors and they dont lock as well :/
Hope's are a pain in the butt. I have a pair that I used for a while. When they are working well they are so sweet, but when they get any dust or dirt on the rotors it is very difficult to make them lock. I just use brake cleaner and then wipe with a clean rag and water. It seems to save them occasionally.

i get you on the hope brakes.. if they work they work well indeed..
i found out that every year a new disc helps.. and every 6 months (depending on riding time) new pads..
i serviced the seals in the rear last year .. that helped too..
but i stay away from brake cleaner,, it leaves a residue that will not burn off. our brakes dont get as hot as car brakes.. it contaminated the pads.. and make them slip indeed.. alcohol works better.. but is more exspensive..
