I wouldn't go as far as saying 'worst VOD ever' as there was some excellent shots and angles in there and it was a bit of a change, something a bit different, however there are better videos out there.

Indeed, something different. It's really beautiful, but quite boring for me... and makes me sad...

It would be fun as shit to ride 78km of downhill but watching is a bit naff for me. BUT Pinkbike isn't just for downhillers/freeriders theres other AM/XC fans on here that love this stuff so be positive.

you americans are ignorant as fuck there is a reason why canada is considered the best country in the world
- + 2
ok enough anger against americans that kid was just trying to get people mad and it looks like he succeeded

i got no problem with americans or america but i got a problem with little FAT red heads runing there mouth
- + 3
whoa not all americans hate on canada. canada offers stuff that america doesn't like epic snowmobile trails and whistler. and america has stuff that canada doesn't, like warmth.

This was awesome, and a nice change. I mean I love Downhill and Freeride VODs but this is equally impressive and still fun to watch

Not.. really, This is just a personal opinion but they're riding for hours on end, on what are all mountain rigs, with all mountain gear on and I thought alot of the idea of all mountain is having a bike that can climb to the top and then bomb down, which is what they're doing in the video..

getting a lift to the top of a mountain, and riding down is the most basic kind of freeride you can get. you don't need huge jumps to be freeriding. Yes they are cool, but you don't need to do them to be "freeriding". they are on am bikes yes, but these are modern bikes that hold up to what older bikes couldn't.

definition of downhilling is riding down hill on your bike. if i rode an xc bike down a "downill" it would still be downhilling
- + 1
You did actually watch the whole video right..? Including the technical climb and everything else? I'm talking about the video as a whole, and as a whole in my opinion at least they are riding exactly as the idea of all mountain is depicted. And yes you could ride any bike down a hill, but if you were to also ride it up one would you describe it as uphilling?
- + 1
Even if there is one small climb i still consider it downhilling are you going to say that the redbull 5000 down is an all mountain race beacause there is soe uphill in it.

No.. because that's a downhill race on a downhill course where everyone's in full faces just about and on a whole riding 8ish inch travel DH bikes.. Jesus Christ all I tried to mention in the first place was that despite how much I love VODs about guys shredding trails and hitting gaps etc. I liked this video because it was so different. Yes your all right it is technically downhilling because they're riding down hills.. but I'd like to think there's a fairly obvious line between the guys riding in this video and hundreds of other videos with people in full faces etc. racing/riding down a distinct trail with man made or natural berms, jumps and drops.

I thought the video was nice and I enjoyed watching it. There are alot of good videos out there and just because the video isn't 100% DH, Freeride, or dirt jump doesn't mean it should be disqualified from being a VOD.
Not trying to downplay those genres as I also enjoy watching those types as well. My idea of a VOD is that the video showed that it was well-thought, well-produced, and reflects the spirit of the ride and this video does all three.

Nice try benbiker,
Brett Tippie is a pioneer, and has contributed so much to the sport we all love, but he did not start downhill mountain biking.

Ok benbiker,
Iam a tippie fan as well, but something doesn't add up.
If tippie was born in 1969, and downhill wasn't started till 1976, by your math, tippie was 7 years old, when he was freeriding, and shredding big mountain?? If Iam totally wrong, Iam good with that, but to me, the numbers don't add up.
