Yeah your shutter speed was too low, and dont try to slowmo 25p stuff. It was a cool video but vod? Not really sure about that. Im probably just being spiteful as i was in les gets last week and the weather was awful

Yeah super sorry about that this was all edited whilst I was still out in France on a small windows PC and i'm still not used to the camera properly, I never expected VOD on this but major thanks for the support Pinkbike and I hope you all enjoy, ill look to fix the blurry issues in the future. it was filmed really well, just because of the camera shouldnt make it that he doesnt get vod. it was definitely vod worthy in my opinion

Oh no, I agree that the videography is great and as others have said, the use of the natural light is awesome, just there were some Errors which could have made it a lot better, for example when you want to slow mo, shoot 50/60p with a high shutter so it's nice and crisp, and when the rider is crossing a frame, up the shutter speed to eradicate the blur but then, when panning, low the shutter speed to get the background nice and blurred

pretty mellow riding..... looks fun because your on bikes but really it does not give me any desire to shred that trail.

Hey guys - appreciate the constructive criticism
Obviously the video isn't to everyone's liking for sure, but we only filmed the video as a bit of light-hearted fun in our last week out there. Yes, riding wasn't the best out there but it was pretty fun making it and cruising down the trails at 8-9pm at night when no one else was around - this edit is just a by-product of the holiday which has surprised me it turned out to be VOD.
I can't see why is has got VOD even though I'm riding in it, but hey - that wasn't my decision so please don't go on about it too much. At the end of the day, I think the video is just there for people to watch IF they wish to, if you don't like it well I don't have a problem - hit the return key and go back to the homepage.
Just my $0.02 but it was jolly good fun riding it

I dont think it looks like a slow shutter speed? it looks like its been rendered in the wrong settings, if youve shot in 25p and rendered in 30p, that can sometimes cause that blurryness, but a good vid nonetheless, id just take a look and make sure your render settings are all correct

I think the blurriness is because he left frame blending on. What it does is it fades in between frames instead of going from one to the next. I know in final cut it you can turn it off but he might of been editing with something else. Everything else about the video is sick tho

There is way to much criticism on this video. this video shows 2 riders having a great time shredding an awesome trail isn't that what its all about? the whole point of riding is to express yourself not to be criticized by a bunch of jackass'. get over yourselves. and to the riders to let these people discourage you, great job and keep it up!

I cant belive you rode the canyon run and it was DRY!!!! in 10 years I have never seen it dry, jammy gits.

Who chooses these VODs?!?!? Even though the riding was good, there is some much more impressive tracks out there that could have made this video alot better.. The song also got on my nerves alot; as did the motion blur from the camera but I guess that couldn't have been helped. 2 cents.

Yeah couldn't agree more - we rode them tracks as we both liked them and wanted to have some fun filming - we had nothing serious in mind - yes there are more demanding tracks like the Super Morzine side of things, there aren't any big jumps on this video but that wasn't the point - I'm just as surprised as you this got VOD. Thanks anyway though

No thats fine - yes totally agree with you but we're kinda in the firing line as riders and Nico, the guy who filmed it :/ The high five thingy was just to show some humor, not my choice of song but as I say we weren't expecting it to be VOD. Appreciate the 'negative' views of everyone else though but it's out of my control
