Are you ghettoing because you didn't measure twice Razz
  • + 2
I measured once, then I cut into the starnut, which turned the blade and made a crooked cut, so I pushed it, and cut another 5mm, and well...here I am!
  • + 1
 Oh bugger.
  • + 1
 Whoops.
  • + 1
My old forks were pre cut but the new answer atac stem was about 15mm taller so found a welder to weld on the extra, was ok though as it was an xc bike so wasn't getting abused.
  • + 1
 Thats hack!! Eek
  • + 1
Actually... welding a little bit of extra steer tube at the top wouldn't be detrimental if done right (if it were a steel steerer)
  • + 1
True, I was thinking on mine, but thats aluminum. Also, dude, almost found a compression cap small enough, but no cigar. Instead, I am milling my Eastern one to be thin.
  • + 1
Why dont you purchase a new steerer and press it in? My dad has done it to my marzocchi's.
  • + 1
Because I am fine with this for now.
  • + 1
You have a sick shop. Looks huge.
  • + 1
It's the smallest of 3 others.
  • + 1
 oh i gotcha.
  • + 1
 Short steerer.
