The noise is there because the 2 plates dont sit flush so they vibrate causing that annoying clicking noise, the doohickey stops it, i have one on mine and its far better.

 never been to bucknell but it looks like aload of fun! definately a must go to place before winter setles in. props on making it look so fun!
