There's no denying that Ruben Alcantara is a true legend with a passion so big for BMX. He reached out to us and let us in on a video he's been working on with friends from Portugal. Without giving away too much, Ruben and his friends stumbled upon "The Lost Park" in the middle of nowhere in a small town in Portugal. Check it! All credits given to FoxHead
WHO BUILD IT?!?!?!?! WHY??? im so confused....it was like an acient bowl in the MOUNTAINS?!?!?!?!?!?!
is not in the mountains, the mountain that u see in the clip, is the Serra da estrela (in Portuguese), the park is at the bottom of the mountain, they come from Spain, that's why they go down the moun...
I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to stumble across something this amazing! I wonder how much work it took to clear rubbish from it though, I doubt it was that clean when the found it
. VOD!
@ Riskax: Was it built for BMX/Skateboarders or was it for holding water or something? Regardless it's awesome!!!
Would love to ride that wonderful place. OK for outsiders to enjoy that concrete? Its my new adventure. Thank you for sharing the Lost park. A true amazing piece of transition for Bike and Skateboard. And thank you Ruben for sharing your runs with us all. The future is among us.
The park is in a good location for us because we don´t have any bike park close to us and this is the only thing we have here but that park is really mad and bad built. there are lot´s of spots there that doesn´t make any sence.but we are thanks to receive some bmx guys in here because it´s very rare in here and we wold like to receive even more in the future...this is a very dificult sport to practice in this country.
Love BMX

this has some serious epic nature about it, the scale of that bowl is mindblowing, and the location! oh my god.
I wonder if they were confused by the name of the park, or if they just tried to confuse people watching... Belmonte Skate Park in Portugal isn't in the town of Belmonte, it's in a town a little ways away.
Ian, i live 5 miles from this little "town" Belmonte, and the park is named as Belmonte Skate Park, they are Spanish, that's why they call it that.
ian it isn't in guarda, it's in belmonte, guarda's bike park it's a pourpose built park, yhis i think was originally a water deposit thats gone unused and they cleaned it up so they could use it
yeah it's exactly that, bmx as we know it isn't all that recent, i dont think it was built from scratch, at least part of that was reused
Ok, that makes sense then that the Belmonte park is in 'Guarda' if Belmonte is a part of Guarda... This is very definitely a purpose built skate/bmx park, it has oververt sections and rails etc. and that full pipe looks beautiful!
