another ILL edit from lone wolf productions, and did anyone else tilt there head or computer at the fork mount gopro scene?
I'm getting too good at finding good vids on PB- that's the 3rd day in a row I have seen VOD before! Bit annoying in a way but this vid defo deserves VOD!!

Doing a tree bonk doesn't hurt your wheel any more than riding a rock garden or doing a drop. I did this several times to get that shot and my wheels were perfectly true still
well it obviously does more damage than hitting a drop though, because hitting a tree sideways puts sideways force on the wheel, which it's not designed to take, whereas a drop puts all the weight through the spokes
look at mark cavendish when he sprints (roadie i know) think the crap that does to his wheels leaned like that and notice the tree isn't a huge issue, also look at the thickness of a rim compared to the thickness of a spoke
what? when you lean the weight still goes down through the spokes... and no because the rim isn't nearly as strong as all the spokes put together. that's why a wheel used hard might fairly get a kink in it, but will barely ever snap all the spokes at the same time...
