Puddles are like mirrors of the forest, so lets ride bikes through them. Cause fall is here and the trails are wet and lets admit it, no matter how cool they look splashing through puddles is fun. Ridden by Patrick Romano. Add a comment about what you think. Thanks! For HD http://vimeo.com/30296497

I most often click on videos to watch when the thumbnail image looks like east coast. Because of the wet conditions, your trails in this video look more like east coast than usually dry california, fooled me.
This looks like great self filming, and it turned me on to new music, really matches the mood anticipating snowy singletrack.

Thanks, and no the camera moves in shots and you should watch it all because the end the cameraman laughs and it becomes apparent that it isn't self filmed. The camera moves throughout also. It was filmed on a sony hdr cx-130

 Sweet vid.
But the trail Nazis would believe otherwise about riding through puddles....around here we are lucky enough to get barbed wire and briars laid out for us....at least on the easily accessible trails...so we just head deeper into the forests...

It is actually just considered a hiking trail so no one really cares if it gets damaged and there is nothing to be damaged, there are no burms, jumps, or features of any kind. Its called the "nature walk" and has little signs talking about animals strewn about.

Your lucky, out here people would have traps set up on "hiking only" trails..... Very cool video regardless !

Indeed they are mate....so much so I sold a DH rig and a XC bike.Dont need them now.Looking at a 140mm fork though.I find i get bounced around sometimes on the steep rocky sections but apart from that they are great.

Thanks Alex, when we made this video we purely set out to capture a mood. Nothing banger, it just shows how when you are on your bike you are happy and it can be an amazing experience.

you really need that nice of a bike to ride through puddles?

flag gravityworksproductions (Nov 3, 2011 at 20:46)
Well due to the terrible conditions this bike had to be specially prepared to be ridden to the extreme level it was in the snow. A total of 15 minutes was spent planning and preparing for this project so it was a large undertaking. I hope that helps. Also yes you need this bike to partake in extreme puddle shredding as shown here.

Why are you riding flats on an xc bike?

flag gravityworksproductions (Oct 9, 2011 at 9:54)
Because snow is really slippery. Flats are more fun sometimes too.
