released March 2006 through www.3ride.com a Canadian BMX Video Starring Wade Laljar , Sam Lowe , Jordie Lepage. Jon Fredlund, Dave Osato , John Heaton , Dustin Guenther and more
As a decent sized and prevelent biking community, it is my personal opinion that Pinkbike shouldn't even allow postings showing riders who ride without a proper helmet. Others may not be in agreement but I think showing this kind of stuff sends the wrong impression to people new to the community. On other forums, that I use, moderators are to delete any material showing people riding without helmets. Just a suggestion...
Next VOD should be some retard cracking his skull open on the ground and showing his family in the waiting room at the Neuro-intensive care unit. Now that I would approve of...

look be serious mate, its up to people if they wanna wear a helmet or not. and defintatly saying ur part of the comunity and then wishing some one should crack ther head open is wrong. if u were really part of the comunity u would wish every one to wear a helmet and thoes who dont to NOT hurt themselfs
he is not wishing for it. there is plenty of available footage of retards who have done exactly what he describes. here in canada (im not sure about the u.k) we have tax funded health care. i, as a taxpayer, do not aprove of paying for retards who do riding like that, and dont wear a helmet. you might never hit your head from riding but you never know when your front hub is going to seaze for example. so what he is saying show a video of sum1 who had what was coming to them, come to them. it would teach a valuable leson to the people new to the community.
to right. sick video, but i hate how alot of bmxers are a bunch of fashion victim retards who think they are to good for helmets
Great Skills and very nice flow, we've had some great VOD's this week!
My worthless 2 cents on the Helmet issue. I used to be the f*ck helmet type and didnt want anyone to tell me to wear one. I saw my good friend who also thought the same smash his face on the concrete and he was in intensive care for a month. He cant even ride bikes any more. Well I wear a helmet now.

i appreciate the positive comments from everybody, this trailer was made almost 2 years ago now.
as well i appreciate peoples concerns for others not wearing helmets and sure they may not be setting a positive example to everybody, but f*cken deal with it. look at other sports like snowboarding, skating and even bmx, if somebody doesnt wear a helmet they dont. mountain biking is the only sport that gets their panties so tight in a knot anytime someone posts a pic or vid without a helmet. appreciate the video for what it is and save your fingers. maybe thats the good sthing about mountain biking is that everyone cares so much about other people heads. but if somebody chooses not to then whatever its their choice and their head. kids dont need to see pros wearing helmets to know their safe its common sense and up to the parents. anyways i know im going to get some harsh responses to this but whatever...

can we possibly drop the helmet argument, this is the reason people stay away from forums. arguing here like some little kids isnt going to prove any results, i confess, im guilty of it too, but its getting to the point where people are put off the idea of commenting cz they know that some1 is going to come and slate their oppinion. Lets leave the helmet issue untill a later date, shall we...
And to add to that I bet most people won't read a comment over 2 lines unless it has mad positive props or mad negative props.
WEAR A HELMET!!! Im not just saying that because I'm going along with all of the other people posted. I would have died if I didn't have a helmet on in a crash about a month ago. So please wear a helmet... I know they dont look "cool" but it may just save your life one day!
yeah man my buddy woulda gotten seriously f*cked up last month as well he was doing a drop and went over the bars right before the drop and he landed on his head on a jagged rock but his full face saved hime so wear a helmet
I never said i didn't "bitch" about people not wearing helmets, that is pretty much what everybody in this thread has been saying apart from you, that we should wear helmets oh and if you ride is that why you have a rejected thread saying 'SOMEBODY PLEASE BUY MY BIKE'? as for calling me a shit head, everybody knows that somebody who is losing an argument just resorts to insults to make up for their lack of intelligent logic.
shut the hell up all of u people.god we suppose to be enjoying the damn riding and all you people talk about is the god damn accesories!ITS ABOUT THE RIDING!!!! come to nz bmxers and mtb bikers are all bros.MTBMX.notice its the B-bikes that keep us together so lets just get along with one another.k.
i don't really like bmxing, but it was a sweet video anyways. makes me appreciate it more. as far as this whole debate thing goes...whatever. helmets have nothing to do with skill. i was hit by a car on my mtb 2 months ago, and (as lame as this sounds) if i wasn't wearing my helmet, i would be dead. alright? but i only spent a day in the hospital and i'm almost healed. so just...helmets don't depend on skill. its all chance. shit happens. anyways, awesome vid, keep on.
Yeah, you're right. I might have gotten carried away a little... with the cracking of the head open and such. But I still think the rest should still be said.
Also, I am not putting down the vid. I think the riding and the video style is mint. Jusy not very responsible...

U GUYS THAT NEED A HELMET WEAR ONE U GUYS THAT CHOOSE NOT TO DONT....BUT U THAT DO DONT NEED TO BITCH AT THE PPL THAT DONT JUST CAUSE THEY CHOOSE NOT TO THERE CHOICE THEY CRACK THERE HEAD OPEN FINE
Man if you dont like people in vids without helmets..Dont watch the vid...I ride with a helmet and without one its not about looking cool some people dont like the feel of helmets thats the case with some of my friends..ive cracked my head open and had a few concussions bodys heal...but bullcrap is forever..so i lknow youll post about this
the song sucks, it same with earthed 5; super gnarly video but jesus whats with the rap tunes! i can remember the old crusty deamons of dirt videos, where it seriously heavy music and you feel so pumped watching it, i feel its all gone mainstream now, comercial bands are taking over and the rob zombie needs put on a video! nice video though i love watching bmx
its called progression and different tastes bro. its not all about the heavy gnarly music, things are gonna change and not everybody likes hearing slayer in videos over and over again
Listen here...now this is an age old arugument that has always been around on this website...frankly it comes down to simply...some people wear helmets, some people dont...you would think...this has never been an issue in the bmx community, some people wear buckets...some people dont...you never see a dude not wearing a helmet riding vert in bmx...likewise you never see a dude riding DH sans helmet...But with that said...have any of you stair gapping shocker riding douchebags ever think that these guys dont wear helmets simply because they have the confidence needed to pull these tricks and have the skill to avoid danger...no you wouldnt because you guys crash riding B-Line and think that anything can happen...basically if you have the skill to throw these tricks almost everytime, you know when you are going to fall and eject if needed...but instead you shmucks think its better to bash these amazing riders because half of you can barely bunny-hop without the use of the rebound on ur dads old monster-ts....if you wear a helmet then thats your choice...lots of dude in bmx wear them...lots of dudes dont...people fall and get hurt...we all know someone who has crashed and banged their head...it has nothing to do with style...it has everything to do with their own personal preference...some dudes like hot chicks, some like fat chicks...mountain bikers are usually f*gs so it doesnt really matter
i totally agree with nirvana that it should be compulsary for helmets to be worn in countries with tax funded helath care, as for strat18-"these guys dont wear helmets simply because they have the confidence needed to pull these tricks" yer, sure you can argue that they are confident and that it's there own fault if they get hurt, but in the uk and some other countries healthcare is tax funded, us lid wearers are paying for some dumbass chav who thinks he's amazing to have brain surgery when his face meets floor and because he didn't have a lid on ends up in hospital instead of walking away. As for "mountain bikers are usually f*gs so it doesnt really matter" if you think that, what the hell are you doing on this site, of which most users are mountain bikers, if you really aren't open-minded enough to listen to what other people have to say, because their wheels are 6" bigger, wait until you see one of your mates have a big crash without a lid, then your opinion will change, until then log onto www.ignorantrecklessbikers.com
strat18: please leave out the mountain biking-hating, unjustified insults. They have nothing to do with helmet vs. non-helmet wearing debates. I agree with sykesy: If you don't like us so much, don't bother logging on to the site, and don't bother bashing us...it doesn't get you anywhere, in fact it just makes people disregard your comments...
while you sound really angry and bitter at the world "strat18" i see what you are saying. a lot of people on this site are young and frankly don't have much skill on a bike, yet. they are still at the age where they think wearing a helmet is the only way to ride because that's what their parents tell them to do. i don't mind that people do / don't wear helmets because that is their preference.
ever since i have been riding, i have always worn a helmet. last year i was dirt jumping by myself and got knocked out in a crash. i was grateful (not to God) that i was in the habit of wearing a helmet... because if i wasn't wearing one during that crash, the results could have been worse.
that's just my 2 cents.

John Fredlund! Hahaha I used to work at the Bike Shop in Calgary with him. Good to see you are still killing it on the kids bikes man!
i dont hate on mountain biking...i hate on mountain bikers...theres a difference...i myself ride a mountain bike in the bike park here in whistler...but i dont care to chime in on what bmx riders are wearing helmets or ass pads...i care more about what they are doin on their bikes and how good it looks...also im not lookin how old their bikes are or whos got the new internal gear box technology...how about u watch the video and f*ckin enjoy.
"i dont hate on mountain biking...i hate on mountain bikers..." "i myself ride a mountain bike"
so you hate yourself?
Also "but i dont care to chime in on what bmx riders are wearing helmets or ass pads" and "how about u watch the video and f*ckin enjoy." is that why you posted a comment earlier, completely about helmets and nothing to do with the riding at all, oh and nice riding (Y)

The only thing about ths helmet vs. no helmet debate that I will say is that last year, I probably would of ended up with severe brain damage and maybe a cracked skull if I didn't have a helmet. I wear a helmet.
[Reply]
Yeah, wear a helmet. If you think your so good you don't need to, at least do it for "promotional" purposes. Videos promoting otherwise already have a huge strike against them because they do have a huge effect on the masses of younger (note influential) riders coming into the sport. It is just not good policy to promote a carefree riding style. (ie...helmetless, you wanna go will no armor or kneepads, that is a different story) Youngsters are going to imitate what they see and end up getting hurt being a less experienced rider not wearing proper protection. People are going to do whatever they want, so this is really a arguement over personal believes and values. Myself, I would never post a video containing scenes of a helmetless rider because I have seen the grom imitations that sometimes lead to bad consequences. I want them to love riding and continue to find the joy in it, not get hurt!

u are a sad excuse for a canadian the only canadian on here ripping up a mint vid. its there movie they can wear gear or choose not to....its not your choice is it? ..all anyone who dose not agree with ppl riding without helmets has to do is this...A.shut up...B..mind there own buisness..C..shut up mind there own buisness and wear there own f*cking helmet!! problem solved ...f*gmad
NICE FUKIN VID BOIIS
NICE FUKIN VID BOIIS
or D - see fromad's response above, and E - see nirvhana's response above.
dude it has nothing to do with these riders decision, it has to do with the impressionable up-and-comers thinking they can bust out these very sweet, yet very difficult tricks, because these guys make it look so easy on their clip.
if you do ride, you know that they likely worked through these tricks and pipes with their helmets/gear on, crashing many a time. what's the reason then to ditch the gear for a clip when they've finally dialed it all in? for style? you know it's shite.
why increase your chance of being a statistic and bringing bad vibes to the sports we all want to see grow; be it in convincing city authorities to build more parks or forestry departments to allow more trails? wear your gear and ride everyday.

i was just dying to see a hobo holding a cardboard sign at the end
I love the vid, i wanna go ride now
exactly...i ride and dont bitch a people for not wearing helmets...you do shit head...you might as well have said i know you are but what am i....
how come there is only one dude smart enough to wear a helmet? is everyone else retarded or something? plus kids watch this stuff. what f*cking idiots. i dont care how good of a rider you are, you never know when you are going to crack your head.
Yeah I agree with that, I think it's because the cocky bitch's they are they seem to think that since they ride 20" wheels they are to cool for helmet's. We need a VOD of pure bmx splats.
agreed on the helmets but thats is there personal prefference and i dont think it has any thing do do with bmx'ers cuz if u loook around most MTB strret riders dont were brain bukets so like i say u should just back off a bit and just enjoy the riding
I do enjoy the riding very much, mad props for having that amount of skill but still, it's not personal preference it's a matter of having enough to release looking cool isn't as important as your safety.
I hate this stupid helmet talk. Every single f*ckin' time I see a BMX video, I always see a comment saying "BMXers should wear helmets", "You guys are f*ckin' idiots. You don't wear helmets". For Christ's sake. It's how BMXers ride. It's just like some MTBers don't wear their body armour(Or whatever you guys wear) when doing slopestyle or shit like that. Start focusing on their riding and not on if they have their helmets on.
really why do you care its not effecting you if they fall on their head it is their choice and if they fall its their fault

thanks man,
the reason its too short is its a teaser for the full length video. which you can find in my section as well but its a little wonky in the player.
