Lets be honest and face it - amongst the BMX community Mtb`s in a skatepark are about as popular as getting an STI. However Rob Welch can ride it tech and big with the best of them. This edit is hopefully going to show you once and for all that MTB`s can if ridden well - be accepted into the park. Here is to 2012 pal and all the comps, road trips, pictures and videos we are yet to make.

good to see he actually sticks to riding a bike he likes instead of switching to bmx because his friends say it's not cool to ride a mtb Smile

Great video! couldnt agree more about mtbs not being accepted in the skatepark community. It's only 4 inch bigger wheels, so its rather annoying! Despite the negativity dj rides better than bmx, tricks look so much better!

Depends what trick it is!

Also for 99% of parks a bmx is far, far better suited to them. Tight transitions are horrid on an MTB. Also its all smooth.. so why the need for suspension?

I don't ride bmx, but it makes sense.

the bigger the quarters, boxes, spines etc the more suited it is to dj bikes! Big Grin
