This video has so much more meaning after watching the behind the scenes mock-documentary
Another job well done guys! Gotta embrace the greasy winter conditions

Sick edit,
I do wonder though what it is with nobody wearing gloves... ever! If you look to past VOD's more people are riding gloveless than with gloves. It may look cool but personally I think it is not the best idea.
1. Gloves are better for performance, you don't get hand slip.
2. Gloves are less harmful, when you crash you don't tear up your hands as much and you don't get all the blisters that you do when you ride gloveless.
3. Gloves are cheep, if you can afford to mountain bike you can afford a 20-40 dollar pair of gloves.
Sorry this may sound like hate or off topic but everyone is doing it and I just wonder why?

Heyo,
as the rider in the video, I prefer no gloves, as u get a lot more feedback from your bike, I don't ever have problems with hand slip, And I normally break the fall with my face not my hands
Dexter

@intenserider7 i've been riding downhill for about 2 years now, and i wore gloves for like the first 2 or 3 months..then, out of coincidence (ie me forgetting to) i didn't bring my gloves to a ride, and it was just awesome. i felt way more comfortable and never ever slipped a hand off the bars. ever since i ride gloveless (:
Sorry to interrupt... It`s your choice whether you use gloves or not. But where i ride are most the trails so rough that you must have gloves in case of bailing or any sort of failng.
But like I said it`s your choice and it also dependson the enviroment that you ride in.
Ride on!!

I personally always ride with gloves because of much better grip. In summer when my hadns are sweating or in rainy, mudy conditions. Also during fall/winter they keep my hands warm. And ofc gloves offer extra protection during crashes.
Nice vid btw
i like hearing all bike noises in the movies. They make them more real to me.

I wear gloves when I'm riding shit scary fast stuff - I get sweaty palms when I'm pushing it
Otherwise I do prefer gloveless with a slightly thicker and softer grip - It makes for a much more 'connected' ride and cuts my cigarette rolling time in half

personally, gloves make mtb seam less real... without gloves, you feel the bike better and it seems more like you're actually riding... same goes with glasses, full faces, etc.
but whatever you like, go for it

I agree. The less clothing you wear, the more real it seems. I've recently started riding pantless and the feeling is unreal!
this guys rides about as fast as i do, nor did he do anything out of the ordinary. Not VOD material in my opinion.
I probably did, the conditions were absolutely disgusting, the photo's do it more justice than the video in terms of epic grossness. It was also quite a bit steeper than it looks
, but to each their own!
dexter shreds
its the north shore, cold, muddy as hell, with eric and rob nagging him
sick video. dexter here needs to get his new m9 and come to the coast again for some winter loam
dexter should probably get on that, though he'll probably bring the tracer over because it's fast on flat loam.
I actually really like that I can hear when he brakes
Sometimes when I'm watching these videos I wonder when/if the rider is braking. Fun to know for a change.
...thanks for the correction. Must of been late night when I typo that or I'm just really that dumb...

It was shot on a Panasonic HPX170, and a 7d yes. The lenses were a 15-85mm and a 70-200mm. You can check out all the info about a specific video on our new website, http://beta.faultline.tv/portfolio/film-fall-on-cypress/ -ep
