Half of you guys out there saying this is borring and all mountain and XC suck, probably ride your bike at best once a month. Ride the same type of bike as this guy and i bet you couldnt hang onto his ass on the downhills nor the uphills. I dunno about the rest of you but im filling up my camelbak and going for a ride.

If you like pulling out a "real bike" (that statement is bull) and throw flips and such then that is fine with me. I'm not gonna bash on you.
But for you to bash on someone because they're diff than you and has a diff riding still is effed up.
I'm not really into DJ or BMX but I like watching it because it is totally different from what I ride.

XC isn't just about lycra clad weight weenies motoring up hills, lycra is about getting on your bike and just riding. Exploring new places, having fun, etc! Not everyone wants to push up a track and ride down again several times, or can get on an uplift. And descents don't all have to be super gnarly with huge jumps and drops, the simpler descents are made more fun by having a smaller bike. I don't get all this "all mountain" etc bullshit, if you're pedalling up, accross, down and everywhere else, then you're riding XC, and it's fun! Especially when you get to ride several different descents in a day Smile

And for the record, I ride downhill and XC, on the same bike.

@sam264...thought that was a typo....really though,just cant see where the issue is of this being VOD....You can label it anything you want but at the end of the day it was a well put together vid and some cool riding on a great bike.

^^^again well said, theres no problem with xc riders, some, as stated ride xc a nd downhill so can probally ride just as, if not better than half the people saying bad things about them...plus they will be far, far fitter!!! Big Grin

I loved that. It put a smile on my dial. It made me so glad that I'm eating brekky and getting ready to go hit 50km of sweet XC singletrack - gonna do about a million turns.

I spotted a continuity error - he puts his helmet on but doesn't do up the clip, but when he pulls the bike out of the ute his helmet is done up.

I didn't know Mitch Chubey filmed. That was good work. Still think one of Mitch's biggest contributions to biking was the packing the bike in the Hockey Bag article
