Pressed the air valve in the top of the fork lighty and not even a second, and noticed now this started, not sure if it was before. but the fork seemed kinda stiff so tapped the air valve and now this is happening. and the lockout doesnt seem to be effective untill all the way engaged. If you know how to fix this or anything please comment or message me thanks.
Could someone explain this to me please? Same thing is happening with my 2009 float 36's (air aswell) .. I compress it, and it has like a centimeter (1/3") of travel that never returns, gotta lift it up to use, then it gets stuck down, like why!?
yeah it's either air or oil...mine will do that if there isn't enough air....and even pressing the air valve for less than a second takes out enough air for it to sag.
Grrrr the guy at the bike shop let that tiny bit of air out >_ I'll just get it pumped up properly while lowering it. Thanks !
I'm gonna go to a buddy's tonight and get it pumped up properly and hopefully that solves the problem! Wish me luck!
Problem solved. Was just the air. but now my forks at 120mm cause there's no spacers, which was why it sagged like it did
i work on street motorcycles not sure if your forks are set up like the ones im used to are buttt... at first glance could be 3 things
-air (needs more)
-oil (needs more)
- and (maybe) your sag and rebound settings
**at worse its your springs but unlikly
you can find air at a gas station (if it fits) or a cheap BALL pump at wall mart- you dont always need fancy adapters and pumps

No, 26" just maybe cause no rubber on. But back rims gonna be here this week. =D but if i cant figure out why this is happening or if its bad or not I wont be able to ride saturday like I was going to....
Offer up and I'll ask him. I think he is hoping atleast $325-$350 cause he isn't even done building it so offer and I'll ask him
Yah mine did that with air in it too. Like it gets stuck a bit, I dropped mine off at bow for new seals and oil and it seemed to be the fix.
Lockout is only supposed to be effective once turned the complete amount. and i would add more air. if that does not work out, check your oil levels.
i done the same on my old fox forks and it happend so i let all air out an pumped them back up and they were sweet

Try replacing the oil in both the damper and spring sides, and make sure it is the right amount as per Fox's owners manual.
its all newly rebuilt i think it just needs some air. if not, then ill take it in. im not taking it apart. i always screw somthing up when it comes to that
