12-14-11 Mt Misery Midway to Bottom

The steep stuff is getting tretch... the leaves and pine needles are soaked and frozen to the rocks everywhere......I guess winter is here, no snow or not... Pauchaug state forest, Connecticut. Balfa 2 step DH.

 I'm trying. The low lying areas are very mucky also. Yeah it is pretty stealthy for 7 inches of travel. Yeah that is the one. This one is the first year of the version called the DH, later on slightly modified and called the HD. The DH was hand built by the guys in Quebec before they got bought and closed by pacific cycles... I have had it since they first shipped them...around 2002 i think.... And i had Craig custom build an avalanche Montie for it a few years back and it is a dream now. Notice the design that has been swiped by many others..... Iron horse, Giant....etc.....best of all....hand built in Canada.....Quality !!!!

 it's exactly the first thing I saw...this design was borrowed by DW links who went crazy when Giant came up with the Maestro !?!...do you know who were the very first to use it ???...shame about Balfa not being there anymore...

 Pretty lucky for sure, but they are icy and slick in the morning time!!!
