The Pinkbike crew rolled down to California to catch up with Gee Atherton for his first ride on the GT Fury.
Looking at how Commencal have changed over the last few years, I predict huge improvements for GT in the future.
Interesting to see he's ditched the neck brace and gone for the big moto helmet despite his brothers injury...
nice but first ride? really? I bloody doubt it, first ride for the camera, yes. Let's just see how the first couple of races go eh.
Solid vid, I liked that it was narrated throughout. Nice change of pace and you get to hear Gee's insight, even if it is mostly GT advertising. And it featured my home trails (WOOOOOT Telonix! SoCal!). Larock is like the pizza guy, delivers every time.
If you put Lana del rey so why you didnt put this:

I wish it didnt look like he just hopped off a dirtbike with the new gear... MTB has its own style and their new gear doesnt fit it. Hopefully they come out with some gear with more of a MTB feel to it.
Wow i was just mind f*cked .. Partly cause i live right around the corner from these trails and partly cause gee just shredded telonics with absolutle flow and some prime riding... Oh myy gee

Looks to be at home on that thing. Should be a good season, just don't like the moto style helmets, they look faar too bulky, but maybe he feels he needs that extra protection with the speeds these guys are hitting nowadays, guess it's his call.

He live to eat those words - literally. I'm sure he'll be besieged with British bacon now at the events by everyone! I'll get him a slice!

Its good to see that Gee is happy with his bike and it sounds once he gets the bike dialed HE'S GOING TO GET BACK TO KILLIN IT!!!!! CONGRATS
Filming and editing was mint. Stoked to see an update on the team and best of luck to them all in 2012!
That is some quality advertising. It made me want to buy all the products he's running, but I can't afford any of them.

This is awesome! These are the same trails that Peaty was ripping down on a GT in Chainspotting (unless I am much mistaken)

He looks awkward? He looks way more stylish on that GT than he did on the Commy, a lot more relaxed. I guess we won't really be able to tell till he is racing a world cup.
