This historical video was filmed in Bootleg Canyon
I was one of the people down there, We are putting up a huge obstacle course(we payed to use this land). Unfortunately, thanks to Josh Bender, All of my co workers now think that us bikers are a*sholes
The tape obviously wasn't a big deal. If you didn't catch it, my first post was all in good humor. He just treated the bosslady down there with an extremely sour attitude which made some random people's first impression of the biking community bad, that's all.
Sooo... How early did you guys fire up that damn PA this morning. I'd much rather somebody breach my marker tape than wake me up at or before 6am with extremely loud music when I really need to sleep before competition. If you want to put me up in a hotel that's a different story.
you know what, cool you hucked (cased) a 29er. what would have been cool is if you took the time to fix the tape you pulled down…not like you could have avoided ripping most of it down to begin with. oh well chalk another one up for making bikers look like douches, thanks!
Yeah i know what you mean.i love bender but if i was me i wouldnt want to f*ck up the tape so just a heavy sideways skid probly would of saved all the tape or maybe hit one and that wouldnt of taken him long to put back.shame what fame does to people
i know he didnt case it i just meant he could of made a better effort not to trash all the tape or gone back and put it up but fame has made him not give a shit, still one of my all time fave riders tho
damn people need to relax. who cares about the tape?
you can't even see if he helped put it back after... with a beer in hand? and plus, would probably be fun to rip through it anyways...

Thanks to Metal Mike for putting up the video and Bender going big. I apologize to the Boot Camp crew as putting on events, and set up is a lot of work. I hope it didn't take too long to fix, and I (the Promoter of the Reaper Madness DH & SD), can easily be contacted at future events to assist.
Oh, and a huge thanks to all of the racers! 222 Downhillers and 66 Super D racers.
Most of our events include a Bender story or two!

My friend Mel Shingleton did this drop on his Demo. It's really really really big, the video does not give it justice.
For sure, my friend Jeremy (black and orange jersey in video) said it's 30 feet down and 40 feet out. Apparently he was the first to hit it that day and then no hander it the next day.
It's definitely more than 10 down and 20 out, but not close to 30 down and 40 out (that's Oakley Icon sender territory). Props if Jeremy's hit it. I've been there and I'd estimate it at 15' down and 25-30' out.
