Kony is bullshit don't post it on here. Go research it. The guy is dying and has been pushed out of Uganda and is now slowly dying in Congo. This is 10 year old news. Ive talked with my sibling in the military who say its just rediculous how people think they will change something. Far worse things are happening in darfur and Syria. Invisible children are a awful organization that only spends 20-30% of what they make on actually helping. And the money they do donate they gave to the Uganda military, which is the stupidest shit ever. The charity itself is pretty corrupt.

i liked the video a lot, but there wasn't as much style in it as other videos. i realize that its technical terrain in the winter, so its hard o ride, but when i think of canada i think of huge moto whips over giant stunts in the forest. this video had all except for more style. Smile

I hate the UK, the USA and Canada seem to have such better woods and tracks than over here. You have to drive 2 hours to get anywhere near something nearly as good as that and even then its either cold or shit!

I love the UK. A massively diverse riding scene over here, and America is HUGE! People seem to think that there's great riding on your doorstep no matter where you are in America, I know a few people who live there, and have been and it's just not the case. You can travel between the furthest points on mainland Britain in a fraction of the time it would take to cross America.
Sure it's cold at the moment, and wet, but give it a couple of months and we'll be well into spring with summer on the way. Blue skies are just round the corner!
Also, BC gets heavy snowfall during the winter (I believe), and some of America, some of these guys find it hard to ride at all in the winter. At least mostly in the UK there's all year round riding.

@joevcavell - On a weekend, 2 hours driving is nothing. Plus you have access to a good transportation system that'll get you in the Alps faster and cheaper than it would take me to get out West here. So pluses and minuses to both sides.

@JonathanCarre - Out East there's lots of good riding close at hand. The only place where it's really difficult to find good riding in the US is either in the heartland or way down south.

I don't know about the Alps mate, we're in the UK, so we'd have to cross the channel, but I get your point about accessibility. I can ride to many spots from my doorstep, many more spots are within an hour, if I want to travel two hours I can find some great spots again, and if I want to make a weekend out of it, I can get to South Wales in about 4 hours, or North Wales in about 6.

To be honest there's nowhere else in the world i'd rather live for riding, sure we don't have a huge amount of uplifts and the mountain aren't that big but we have such a big riding scene! And whats wrong with rain? can't you handle it? haha In my opinion that's one of the reasons that British riders are so good. Also because there's no uplifts to spoil us we have to ride/push up, this may seem boring you'll be able to go a hell of a lot faster with that extra muscle. And the British summer is great too! Not too hot that you can't go on a decent xc ride but hot enough for some proper runs. And after a winter full of training in the rain you'll find summer a piece of piss. There's great riding all over the world and nobody should take what they've got for granted. Last summer i broke my back and only now am i back to riding everyday and the riding's great, there's nowhere else i'd rather be then the UK!

Im in BC (Bear is a local spot to me being only 55min away) and all winter have been fortunate to ride pretty much at least once a week. But close? Yeah I guess so... but nothing is closer than 40min highway drive. But there are a lot a sweet spots if you are willing to go drive for an hour and a half or so.
