After two days digging, Mike Hopkins headed out for two more days of rainy riding. This is Four Days Rain. Shot and Cut by David Peacock Song: Tornado 87 - The Rural Alberta Advantage
some constructive criticism, I didn't care much for the hip transition jump thing. It's a fantastic jump but having the same jump in the next 9 clips was a bit overkill and kind of ruined it for me. Otherwise loved the rest!
yeah too many repeated shots of the same features. Other than that, great cinematography and riding though!
hopkins is my all time favorite rider but why did he had to bully that little tree. why doesn't he pick on one of his own size
I thought the vid was amazing. I'm hearing some people complaining about too many shots of the transfer line, or that it's shot too tight. I've got to disagree with all that. Hopkins has such sick style and is so damn fast and this vid captured all that so well. The cinematography was excellent and the colors were great too.
Some constructive critisism on the film:
Obviously this was an awesome trail, But we didn't get to see much of it. Many shots were cut out so you didn't see the trail at all just i bike flying around. I would have liked to see some more of the trail so I can relate to how he's riding.
And there were too many repeated shots at each "feature". Sometimes you have to "kill your darlings" a little bit and choose wich shots you like the most. The video looses a lot of flow with all the repeating.
Great song though and some of the shots are truly amazing just wanted to share my opinions

Its in the description but since its Xmas.... Tornado 87 by The Rural Alberta Advantage; check them out they're awesome!
That looks like Oasis. From top of Rossland down to Cominco out side of Trail. I used to rip that trail full rigid with canties 20 yrs ago. Full on high speed trail.
Great little vid to bring back memeries.
Constructive criticism here.
I really enjoyed that. The first repetition transition hip thing as already mentioned went on for a bit but looked so much fun. Really like Hopkins's style on the bike because he is sooo loose but keeps soo much speed. Really like the look of that Aurum too. looked so sleek. Awsome song i feel which really flowed! All in all, Fantastic filming, riding and epicly fun looking trail. This last bit to my comment is nothing to do witjh the video but a comment i read further up. @mumanddhbrazil ...What are you on about? That was an utterly ridiculous comment about Hopkins being ugly to a plant. Was funny but ridiculous...

^^ dont listen to this guy,to be honest there wasnt anything wrong with the video i think the edit was great, cinematography is so clean and it works so well with the song, felt like i was watching something from anthill.
@ChineseAlan, there are people who care about the green and those who don't. It's like spitting on pavement and showing it on YT - I know, stupid and awkward, don't you think? People watch all this stuff on the internet and do the same. It's not the first time I saw that action with a "plant" so this video is not a precursor. I think mumanddhbrazil meant to say that we supposed to show a little bit more respect to our mother nature... I'm not from Green Peace, I don't believe in Armageddon and I don't give a s**t about End of the World. I'm just saying it's a little bit weird. We build trails in forests and anywhere we want so yeah, leave the tree alone (no, not Britney, just the tree
I enjoy trees, they are part of the trail. Let it grow then cut it down, seed the new ones.
Apart from that, very smooth jumps, fast rider.

really i can see why they had the repetative shot. it said that he spent only two days building that then rode for another two. The only thing I think they could have done would to be to show him building it. much like that life behind the bars episode where they go an build then ride.

Man its hard to complain about anything. The transfer was sick. What i thought was especially sick was the audio. Sounded like he was flying.
Loved the song, the cinimatography and he looked bloody fast! Well played. I am a huge fan of Hopkin's style and skills.
Rural Alberta Advantage: Tornado 87...great band. (Also states band and song at the bottom of the the description)
Okay, guys. I loved the video but, the riding didn't match the music so well. Play "LOST IN THE ECHO", by Linkin Park at 0:16 in this video. It matches perfectly.
