Hard tails are where it all started and for the crew at Chromag, it's where it remains. Watching riders like Jinya, Phelps and Skogland on Whistler's amazing valley trails makes us all want to get out and ride.

so true, unless you put some effort in and they will become mint, just like my 2006 voltage yz0 was a shit box, now its fluro orange with about $200 of investment and ive got myself a great hard tail
Beating a dead horse indeed. My last hardtail weighted 36lbs (2007 IronHorse Warrior) but took abuse well. What can I say, it was dirt cheap. I have to say that I loved riding that hardtail as I learned good techniques on it without killing a decent bike. I am more than happy to rid myself of that frame and learned how to better ride the trails. This vid makes we want to finish my GF Roscoe build.
This video actually makes me want to put my Demo aside for a day and shred some DH on my old Rockhopper.
yeah, they're sick riders and those hardtails are sick, but i think the first few shots capture what he probably spends most of his time doing - truing wheels!
i know that... thats why i remain on a hardtail.... and its where i stay... and also....@1:00 anyone else hate that moment where the back tire flies up and your like "oh shit..."
not really, i mean, hardtails are set up for dirt jumping, meaning that the fork is stiff and short. you just get normal tires, normal brakes, and live with what you have, soften the fork, and your done.
Lately I've been thinking about uping my frame to a FS but after seeing this... I think I'll stay with Hardtails and upgrade to a great frame. Fantastic hardtail shredding!
amazing video, seen it like 8times already, top shredding, beautiful nature, and sweet bikes, congrats guys, keep up the good work
....looks like a 20mm rise prototype Chromag handlebar on Jinyas bike
Nice one guys, I remember once upon a time when I only had a hardtail and you just rode hard and it was such a challenge - now I've gone soft on my 6 incher!!! You guys ride better on those hardtails than I do on my full susser!! Damn!
Amazing video. Inspires me as a hardtail rider!! Great work!! Just one question? Is one of these guys clipped in? Never thought about clipping myself in my hardtail, but could be an interesting idea. Can't really see in video, but looks like one is clipped in.
I used to always clip in on my hardtail, it helps when you are going fast on rough stuff. Right now im on flats as i want to improve certain aspects of my riding which i think would be easier done on flats.

i can never get tired of these hardtail videos. dont get me wrong i love my dh rig too but theres nothing more fun then ripping some trails on a good ol hardtail
hardtails make you a good rider if you can ride the trails fast on them and hit rocks and jumps like you are on a DH bike. A good hardtail like theirs helps due to the bikes forks and reliable lightweight frames
damn dude hell yeah! hardtails are always fun to ride! i picked up a specialized hardrock for 300 bucks and it hasnt broken on me yet! been durable as hell so far!
Hard tail frame is a chromag stylus. (neon orange) Just recently picked one up for myself, can't wait for it to come!!!
Still trying to beat my old American Eagle Team issue to death, no luck so far! Guess i'll be going at it on that bike for some more time

Is this the bike?
I was looking on the website they don't sell the Gypsy any more.
Has it been replaced by the Aperture or the Stylus?
