6in travel bike is the way to go. You can still do the same stuff you can do with a dh bike on a hardtail or an all mountain bike, its just a matter of comfort.

I shouldn't have said everything can be done on a hard tail, when I ride in Utah and at sites near rampage I ride my 7 inch travel bike (better than a dh bike)
