Hi Niko, hey I like your workshop thats pretty cool. I bet your a self taught mechanic too which is just fine by me. I learned to do some maintenace just by watching my friend. Seems like a good build with another satisified customer! I would think that Zues would be hanging out with you in your man-cave! LOL! Aloha&Shaka!

Thank you Dave, I had this workshop added to my house about 8-9 years ago now.
Its my haven to just relax while doing some manly work, hahahhahha
Yes, I'm kind of self taught in everything I do.
I dont know if its because Im a teacher but I do much better logically looking at a task and completing it myself rather.
I like to figure the puzzle giving me more confidence in what Im doing.
I love when Zeus is hanging with me but he wants to be held and sit in my lap so work never gets done, ahhahhahahhah
Zeus is a great little dude, and I dont know why I cant seem to remember to edit him in, ahahhahahha
Hiro is super stoked on this bike!
I too gave it a spin and was stoked on the aggressive geometry, it feels like a full suspension FR bike as the BB is super low and the head is slacked out to 65.5 degrees.
There is another bike that I want which has similar geo!

great edit brother....i use a butchers "S" hook to hold my chain hahaha but the coathanger is a much better idea.

I love the coat hanger, it hangs from the chain stay, then you just bent the cut ends to gather the chain!
Its awesome!
Hiro was riding great dont you think?

Thank you buddy!
The Ragley is a super fast FR HT,it looks like the bike is giving him new heights!
My work shop is super fun, I too love to work and build there.
Saturday I built up a buddies new fireeye hardtail and then Sunday a buddy came over and we overhauled his 66 with fresh oil and new slick grease on the seals!
RideOn mate!

hahahahhahahha
No it was just tea in a whisky bottle, ahahhahhaha
I use the glass bottles as they keep the tea fresher than plastic, hahah
This HT is looking really killer!
FR and DH geometry!

I also like cold tea.
How about HT frames I prefer Specialized P3 or P2.
Spec frames are really good, stiffness is much better then in other frames.
They are also super beautiful and strong but unfortunately not cheap.

Yes, I too drink lots of tea and coffee iced in summer!
For a little treat is very revitalizing!
That P-frame looks killer!
I have a P-2 in California with a 130mm fork,its a good bike!
Very stiff and loves to jump!
However Im thinking the OnOne will be my next HT, it looks like a great Trail bike with a DH geometry.
The head sits at 65.5 degrees, thats close to your demo!
- + 1
Yes P3 angle is about 69 degrees and it is frame more for jumps and drops.
But she is very long and with big fork it is also very good HT for DH
Now I have DEMO 7 and there is 65 degrees and it is awesome angle, not to big not to small.
OnOne should be good for you I hope that it is so strong like P2.
- + 1
Yes, the P2 is awesome and maybe very strong.
Its an aluminum DJ so yes very strong, I love the P2 when Im in Cali as it rides really smooth!
The OnOne is steel and skinny so its light for a seel frame but should be just as strong as the P2.
I have my NS surge now and really like it but, with a 150 fork the BB was a little high and the head angle is about 67 so sagged its more like 69-70.
The reason Im happy to maybe get the on-one is for the slack DH geometry, lower BB and the head with a 150mm fork is 65 so sagged is about 66-67 so it should ride like my Cherry FR bike!
Also the One On is really cheep, hahahahhahah

Such a nice bike brother! Very happy for Hiro! He seems to be riding faster and with a lot more confidence!

Yes, going from the GT vintage XC geometry to the Blue Pigs aggressive FR geometry has him riding great!

No this was the Ragley Blue Pig, but the OnOne 456 has similar geometry in a light steel package.
I'm liking the 456 for is long travel and slack head abilities!

Yes, this is a quality bike, the geometry is feeling very fresh!
After building this Im really interested in the new OnOne 456 Evo which as very close geometry.
My ns is fun but I want a slacker head and even lower BB!
The 456 looks perfect!
The pig is all out of stock and I dont know if they are making more.
I heard the owner for Ragley has left the company and gone back to OnOne
So, in a way the 456 is the new Blue Pig!
hahahahahhaha

I might place an order tonight if Im feeling crazy, ahhahhaha
The frame is so cheep and looks so good!
If so, do you want my NS?
Did you play with your alcohol burners.
I want to mail you and Birgit a hot stove if your interested.
Niko's home made alcohol burner!
Can you get Methanol or Ethanol easily?
Here in Japan I get a 100% blend of both in 500ml for 3.00 dollars.
I make 2 kinds of stoves, a top burner so you need a pot stand or a side burner which you simply place the pot on the stove and it burns from its sides!
This is a side burner,
zenstoves.net/BasicSideBurner.htm
Then this is a top burner,
zenstoves.net/BasicTopBurner.htm
The top burner with a nice pot stand is very stable and burns great.
The side burner too can be stable but you have to be carful if you are not on a flat surface.
