football is an amazing sport, i dont watch it on tv, but i love to play it. i also love dh, enduro, xc. like mountain biking it requires some skill, strenght and stamina. this is pointless
Yea u. Can be right on the simmulator part, but that's not all of them, some soccer players can take some serious kicks on their legs just like some Riders can take a serious crash. I play soccer and I ride bikes, so I can give my opinion on both sides
Personally, I think a rider taking a digger on a 30footer (or larger) is a little bit different than a soccer player getting kicked by another vagina
at school we play soccer players VS all other sport players (theres alot of soccer players) and we kick theyre ass every time. now lets see them ride some bikes!

Football is a great sport and I enjoy playing it as much as my bike. It`s sad that the competitive or professional side of the sport has taken this road. Playing football every saturday is one of the best moments of my weekend. I found the video really funny, but don't let 3 dirty images make you hate a sport that's played with such passion by millions of people.
C'mon guy's stop being stupid! Yeah dh takes more balls and yes, there is unfortunately a fair bit of acting and people generally being pussy's in football but let's remember it still takes a lot of skill, determination, training and love for the sport to become one of the best in the world! Someone should make a different edit of this, showing the skill factor that downhill mtb riders have, and how much more interesting it is than watching football on tv (not saying they should stop playing football on tv because that will never happen) but at least get Downhill on tv cos it bloody well needs a good reputation from all the people that don't know about the sport, they don't know what they're missing out on! Infact I might do this my self....
Redbull rampage was on tv unfortunately I missed it! Ahhh. I agree tho tv exposure would be awesome for the sport. I bought strength in numbers and had my dad watch it with me. He seemed to think it was cool. I was just glad to expose him to it.

It's not the most popular because soccer has spread to almost every country in the world unlike basketball which is still unheard of in many parts of the world. I just find basketball more fun to watch than soccer I'm not speaking for anybody else. No reason to hate a sport unless its NASCAR.

Refering to your point why would you want to get involvd in a sport which revolves in you rolling around on the floor like a pussy in the first place!? 
Football players are actors. A good portion of scoring is based on deception and pretending. It leaves you with a bitter feeling and a good arguing point. Football is not a pure sport because you can win a game while not playing the rules!

Football is a ponce's game, and look at the amount of disruption it causes!, I don't know about English football but the fights and damaged caused by fans is unbelievable, biking requires more skill than kicking a wee inflatable about on a oversized bit of grass....imagine the 4x tracks you could build on a football pitch!
Football is so cliche! People that haven't had the opportunity to get into a rad sport like biking or surfing etc will normally fall victim to football because that's likely all they know or are subjected to at school and on TV. Sad really. I don't mind football but I don't think it's worth nearly as much hype as it gets, but then again maybe it's because it's so easy to understand that it appeals the masses of planks out there.

Football and basketball players are highly over rated as heros nowadays when they aren't, but if 6ou like the sport you'll have them as heros (Semenuk or Pilgrim at the biking scene) yes they are overpayed and they invest too much I'd say that a little push to biking (lets say 2 milions/year) wouldn't hurt but we would end having the same fanboys as futball or basket because those sports have a massive amount of followers in comparison to biking

Profession soccer is BS because of the dives, yes... Still, it seems like most of you have never enjoyed a game of, say, chess in your lives. Things other than launching off cliffs can be enjoyable too, and I'd like to see a MTB guy out run a soccer player, especially over long distances. Love and tolerate
I used to play soccer, and ride DH. I liked the sport, played goalie for ever and also played mid field. When I was playin soccer as goalie when i was 15, I dove down to grab the ball from under the guys feet as he was going to shoot, I took the ball to my stomach, and his foot to my face. I got a bloody nose and my stomach hurt like a bitch, I wanted to throw up. I stood up with the ball, told the FM to get the fuck away from me, kicked the ball to the end of the field and we scored. When I got home I found out I broke my nose, straightened it out, put my helmet on and went DH'lling. I quit cause I couldn't ride as much

The point is that here you omitted a lot of football scenes where players get exposed fractures or broken noses or sprain ankles, etc. I do not see a point on making this video, both sports have their dangerous things. I have been a soccer player and I am now a Mountain biker, and I love both!!!!

I reckon if they introduced a new rule where penalties and coloured cards would not be awarded for misconduct (tripping, contact and that), the sport would flow so much better and be so much more aggressive.
Its like if they bought a rule into 4x where if a guy cuts of another guy which results in a crash, the person cutting off the rider would be penalized. You would have every rider that was losing purposely crashing in the hope of having the rider in front being penalized.
