Jérôme Clementz ride in Sicily, explore Etna area and explain us his vision of Enduro
In these kind of "enduro" videos they forget to mention that we usually spend quite a lot more time climbing than going down. If you get to the top helped by a car or anything different from your own legs, I'm sorry, but that's downhill, not enduro. Nice filming BTW.
It's amazing how many self proclaimed enduro/AM riders turn up at DH spots and get the lift to the top , especially considering I can cycle my DH bike up the hills they pay to shuttle , I just don't get it !
Why does everyone get hung up on this? You either like the video or you don't!?! (I like it)
FWIW I would class 'Enduro' as the type of bike they use (160-170mm), with trail bikes a bit less than that (120-140mm), but really why are we questioning the meaning of the word 'Enduro' when we are watching one of the worlds leading Enduro riders riding a bike!?! His results kind of speak for themself really, and like tokobro said I'm not really into watching videos of top athletes riding uphill for a long time...

I thought enduro was just endurance riding, hence the name enduro, on tougher dh type terrain including having to go uphill. The bike is just chosen because that is what suits the most.
If they just showed him riding his bike uphill that video would have sucked, so that's why they mainly show the downhill cause its much more fast pasted and fun to watch. Go and just try watching someone climb uphill on a bike and see how big of a chubby you get
I'm not saying I want to watch people cycling up hills , more the point that a lot of people get an enduro/trail/XC/WhatEverItsCalledThisYear bike and just go on uplift days with them ,seems backwards to me
I can assure you technical climbs can be harder to accomplish and can require more skill than technical downwhills, it isn't always a dirt road, that shit is boring.
@airsoftesneeto I was not riding the XX1 on this bike. I had a X0 setup during the video.
I don't use a chain guide on my Jekyll with XX1 except for some bike park with a lot of brake bump, but it's mainly for safety as my chain only dropped once.
Cheers

i find it interesting that jerome clementz states that he no longer runs a chainguide on his bikes because of the new 1x11 yet in this video he runs a chainguide.
maybe this was shot in before that or he just just this set up for this style of riding.
anyways thought i would bring this up for discussion
The riding i saw seems like DH.What part of just descending makes this enduro? I think they should`ve shown how you pedal up the hill.Great Video nontheless!
An interesting climb requires a lot of skill, I can pretty much go down anything, but climbing is a different story
