i agree its a really good video with great riding but dude, wear a lid. who cares if it's not "cool" to wear a helmet but your not gonna be so cool when your face is all f*cked up and suffered serious brain damage after over shooting a jump or w/e
yeah cause a helmet is realy going to protect your face. a helmet only protects the top and back of your head. unless its a full face but that looks stupid when doing street on a BMX

BMX is a nice change from all the MTB vids but it could be better, but on the other hand its a local pro not like scotty cranmer so.........nice vid anyways

This will be below threshold in a few minutes... but please don't ask me to mature a little when I note that someone who is in a position to influence a younger generation would do well to wear a helmet. (if he's a pro, then in some sense that is what he's paid to do, you as an editor have some responsibility too.) If he wants to obligate someone to spoon-feed him and empty out his colostomy bag, that may be his choice, but it is pretty lame to simply hide behind 'freedom of choice' and use that as a pulpit from which to belittle others who might have a different perspective.

I love how the 10,11,and12 year old kids completely trash this guy. This is video obviously worthy of VOD but because there parents tell them smoking,drinking,and not wearing is the worst posible thing u could do in the whole world and anyone who does it is BAD. Theses kid say theyll never smoke,drink and ride without a helmet now, but after a few years they be doing exactly what they were trashing in this video. the issue isn't that he rode without a helmet and chooses to drink and smoke... the thing is the face that pinkbike choose it for the VOD, thereby condoning drinking and smoking and riding without a lid. There are lots of kids who look up to the pros, and lots of kids who stay out of trouble because of biking, and now the pros as well as the responsible adults who put on this website are basically telling them drinking and smoking is ok. I think this is wrong. I drink and stuff so I'm not just repeating my parents opinion, I just think the adult mtb community should not condone drugs and drinking while riding, as well as riding without a lid;.

Nice video, good style all around - some of the most dialed 3's I think I have ever seen, and the bunny hop onto the hood of the jimmy was very impressive for a 20"er. Good job dude.

This video is one of my alltime favorites! Walters is a badass and Nick is a genius. I thought Nick did a good job of capturing Joe's character. Sure, he doesn't potray the image of the good role model certain people may want him to be, but I find this refreshing. If everyone tried to potray the "travis Pastrana image" we'd have nothing but a bunch of phonie Todds.
Don't hate on the editor. He probably tried to get Joe to wear a helmet and be a good kid, but then that wouldn't be keeping it real. Nick always complains when I myself don't wear a helmet.
Also, Walter's likes to ride all terrain bikes(MTB) too. He just doesn't have one. As a matter of fact, I don't think he even has a bmx right now...Stolen.

bmx is sick, and i'm no big fan of downhill.. but freeride is the way to go for me. all that fakie 360 out crap is a lot tougher on a mtb. more of a challenge. but whatev, keep on it.
