2013_03_16 Mad Dog

A most excelent first ride, for me, of Mad Dog, a newly resurrected trail by Riley McIntosh and countless other trail builders. Some stunning scenery, steep rock rolls, flowy stuff, off-camber stuff, and tight trails. Rode with BBB, TPain, DCent, JonB, MikeW, and ColinP.

Is there a junction (fork) near the "Big-Rock" at the 10 min point in the video?
Rode this trail once. about a year ago and ended up in Genoa Bay. But have heard that you can also end up somewhere on Kinipshin Rd. in Cowichan Bay? True or False ?
Thanks for the help !

Yeah, I think we followed the G Bay fork for a bit until we noticed that it was taking us too far east. We turned around, headed back up and followed the other fork. That took us down to Khenipshen Rd. Just keep the ocean on your left and you should avoid ending up at G Bay. The hikers weren't overly happy to have us up there.

Thanks. Better views but not as nice flow as Maple (sob).

Good on you! That's truly impressive. We're not very hard core riders. Maybe someday we'll be as good as you.
