Impromptu Poll: How do you guys feel about VOD being an advertisement? I mean, this movie is incredibly artistic in it's own right but do you feel that VOD should be more about the Cinematographer than the products in it?

It's whack. As if there weren't enough ads surrounding real online mountain bike content, now it's completely intertwined. Although commercials can obviously take on an art form of their own, and much less of this content would be produced without corporate sponsorship, there seems to be less respect for the pure essence of mountain biking - the riding - in videos like this. When you can't help but see logos when watching someone shredding, something's off. I was watching the Coastal Crew Bike Park video the other week and all I could focus on in a shot of a fat, steezy whip was the giant Specialized logo on the downtube. Mountain biking is not about the products, it's about the riding!

i don't really mind it when its like this, i'd rather have an advert that i want to watch than adverts getting in the way every time i want to watch a video.

Man, a sweet vid is a sweet vid any way. i get what you saying lukelovesbikes, the mtb industry is become way to commercialized. but in my opinion, a vid should not be discredited simply because it is a commercial. A cinematographer still had to produce a quality vid so props to him totally VOD worthy!

Its either XC, Downhill or All mountain. There is no mix. I think if you need a full face to ride a trail then, its either a DH trail or your just a whinny baby that can"t take a hit. I ride almost all trails in an Enduro type helmet cause I hate the feeling of climbing in a full face.

Hey how do you like those wheels? I've seen a ton of bad reviews on them not only about the hub issue, but also the spokes breaking.

strangely, I ride CB 1st gen 29" XC wheels and have had the same set for 2 years, bought second hand too and they have held out OK. Despite my riding like a buffoon...hubs are fine and I haven't serviced them...just have to true them every 2nd or 3rd ride...not too hard. you never know.
