Finally a VOD on trails I actually ride! Just not like them.... Trail 58 that Neko is talking about is so much steeper than the video shows.. Where they're sending it onto the one chute is unreal, let alone on a trail bike..

actually trail 58 looked like it suited trail bikes perfectly fine, not to steep, smooth and a fair bit of pedaling.

It looks that way, but it is one of the steepest trails I've ever been on.. We shuttle it on DH bikes a lot..

There's a video of 58.. The video doesn't do the elevation justice

Well when you see riders loving and rip hitting it like that, how can you not dig it man! I'd like to roll with you guys some day, no worries I always pack smile. -One note, it appears that my subtext may lead you to believe that I am a heavy stoner (not that there is anything wrong with that but in all honesty untrue). However, I am of complete sound mind but I think the evening sleepies are beginnning to over take over me as I finish my last view of the evening. Props guys! You seem to have a mellow happy vibe with some for sure talent and really cool cool trails. I hope to see you all out there in about 15 mins, I'll be the one smiling with pajamas on yealling, "lets go!"

negative props here I come .. but I feel like enduro/AM is going to start to take over not only Pb but slowly the biking community . Sick video

why would you get neg propped for that? It's just evolving and it's a style of riding that's much more accessible to the masses...thanks for the love!

It's nothing negative. I think AM is true mountain biking (best of both worlds) and people seeking an outdoor activity really enjoy riding literally all the mountain, where the satisfaction people get involves more than just going down really fast and getting shuttled up. Nothing against the DH scene, i'm just trying to understand why AM is increasing it's popularity.

I've a feeling "All Mountain" is the heart and soul of mountain biking... always has been. There have been some sweet forks off that trail, XC, DH, SS, FR, Trials, each has capitalized on some aspect of riding a mountain bike in some of the many ways we ride. Enduro has simply taken elements of a ride with your buds and turned it into a race format. Chill climbs and bragging rights for the descents. Evolution of equipment has meant that we can all do this kind of riding with gear that won't fail at the first wonkily misplaced tire.

you and me both. some people just aren't open to the idea of "endure"
  • + 1
You'd only get neg propped cos you are about the 4 millionth person to make that same non statement.

The non statement basically is: I feel like most people won't do Downhill racing or extreme freeride, nor will they do highly competitive and intense cross country riding. Instead they will pick a more affordable and accessible middle ground which doesn't require such specialised trails, skills, fitness, or equipment.

Hardly a revolution in mountain biking is it? Enduro and AM are only words.
