i don't think VOD. the videography was great, awesome location and the trail looked super fun, but, the rider has zero core skills. elbows tucked in, not looking down the trail and not very loose on the bike just to name a few. i still like the vid though, just the rider needs to get some coaching.

does it really matter how skilled the rider is?? i thought he looked like he was enjoying himself, isn't that what really matters?? The camera work and editing was awesome, that makes a VOD. The skill of the rider can make for more interesting and epic shots, but this video seemed to me to be more about hacking down a cool trail and just enjoying the ride.
I say ignore the crapy comments, no matter what you're riding, or how you're riding it, as long as you can roll down a trail with a smile on your face, its doing its job.

its ok but im gonna hve to agree with every1 else, wank rider! my advice would be to whoeva filmed and edited it, ur good, stop wasting ur time on this rider and find sum1 better! soz but the truth hurts.
we're filming that next week, looks like its still in great shape and nothing is grown over. in the lower section is looked like you really werent pushing yourself but besides that the riding was good. i saw you at mt washington a week ago i was riding an intense socom
It was really nicely filmed and all, but i found it a bit boring. It was just someone riding quite slowly on a really smooth trail with no real features. But just my opinion
Thats because your from UK like me. Our tracks are shorter because we dont have as much space so there are more things to slow you down so the track feels longer. I noticed that alot when i was in the alps the tracks are so long but not much in them.

For me to ride that course in the condition my bike was in was ludicrous
just because i was riding a maxel that had no internals
and if it looked a little slow
its probably because my front wheel could have peaced at any time
not that i'm making excuses
but this was also filmed in two days
because we were leaving
so we only took one shot of each section
but i do agree
i could have gone alot faster

as for the riding it was like 35 and all involved, being rider filmer and two dog, were dying up there. lucas, the guy riding has definitely rode that trail much better.
it's hard to get real speed when you have to keep hiking back up, and with the heat it's hard. at one point it was just like lets get this done it's too hot.

Would you answer me this... humor me if you would be so kind...who chooses VOD? It must be a popularity contest, because the best videos are not being chosen on an almost regular bases. I am starting to think there is some favoritism being played.

That video was sick. The rider was real good too, regardless of all you other hoodlums. Slow technical downhill kicks ass. Flat bars put you in a better stance on the bike and mainly put more weight on the front wheel so you can pinner faster with more traction. I'm actually considering flat bars or .75 inch rise bars. I'm always thinking my 1.5s should be lower.
flat bars are for xc , but if you like it its your choice.

i went there this weekend it was our first time going and i think we went the wrong way because it took us neerly 2 hours to get to the top and then we only had like 10 minutes of riding down. it was really fun though.

I realy thought it was average, there was incosistant edits at the begining. Some shots were pretty uneasary but sure it good but not VOD Worthy...
