nice, i might make mine ss
hey dont this guy need to check his chain line before all of this and by the way who needs a chine tensionner that always break when you can get horizontal dropouts... but thats what i like...
well every time something small was just off a bit and i had to take everything apart to fix it but its all good now
and you dont need a singlespeed chain you could go find a half link chain cuz there alot easier to get the right tension if you dont have horizontal dropouts
that works to, but I would get a normal ss chain then put one half link in it to tighten it up if it needs to be.
nah they dont, me and my m8's have half links on our MTB's and we use them for every day biking, down hilling and dirt jumping, and we have had thema bout a year and half and they havent stretched a bit. they can take up to 1000 kilo grams of pressure as ive been told the bike and they even recomended one to me and my m8's when we keept snapping on normal chains, so yeah, a half link will be the right way to go for a SS!
yeah, i have had a half link chain for about 2 months now and it stopped streaching a few weeks ago, its soo good now though
yo u guys think it wuld be smart to put a ss on a dh bike? the derailers f*cked anyway lol ALWAYS skips, and it stays tuned for like....an hour when i tune it

This may sound like a stupid question and it probably is but how did you remove the 2 bashes/washers that locks the chains together?
and by the way you dont need a "Single speed chain" mine i just used a normal chail and it sames you like 10 bucks

yeah but the thing is i have a tensioner on it but i need 2 know if it would work without tha tensioner and a single speed chain?
it all depends on the gear ratio. you may run that "magic ratio" that doesnt need a tensioner.
but most likely you will need one.
but most likely you will need one.

My bike has like 3 chainrings i think its called. In the front it has 3 gears how to I make it so theres only 1?
So buy the single speed kit, cassette remover, chain whip, allen keys. Thats all I need what will it all cost? Well i have allen keys already but how much is the casette remover and ss kit?
