There is more to MTB than just riding enduro and downhill. I'd say that most downhill monkeys posting on Pinkbike couldn't finish a week of back to back 40-50 mile rides over serious terrain and single track. These guys and gals racing the BC Bike Race are monsters.

 Thank you, agreed 100%

I have no doubt that these athletes are in great shape, and are making a serious effort during the race, but I'll point out your error: the race is 294 km in total, or an average of 42km a day. This is an average of 26 miles a day. Tough, sure, but most certainly not "back to back 40-50 mile rides". I nonetheless congratulate all of the racers for a job well done!

My bad. Didn't even look at the distance of the race. I was basing it off of my knowledge of other stage races such as the Transylvania Epic we have here in Pennsylvania.

These riders are athletic freaks and I respect them for that alone, but a VOD should be exciting to watch. Snore fest.

at least have some respect for the cinematography

xc is just as much apart of mountain biking as any other discipline, whether people like it or not. i have just as much respect for endurance racers as i do for dh racers.

XC is a good way for everybody to get on a MTB. You don't have to have a lot on bike skill to ride XC not like downhill or free ride. The XC pros are machines to ride the distance at the speed they do. I love all aspects of MTB! !!

You can't be serious about the technical skill requirements of XC riding???

I also love to xc as much as bombing down Hellion at Highlands, well... not really, but close to it. Did I see man boobs in the intro? Was it just me?

Annnnnd totally thought that was a chick in the river at first...love these vids, pretty slow yeah but suck it up, there's tonnes of other vids to drool over and everyone deserves their day in the sun

If you want to be strong on a mountain bike, you better put KM's on a road bike.

Anyone want to do Espresso laps?

disappointed with the last VODs, there are few more videos circulating in pinkbike that should get a VOD before..

Like some of these XC videos that get hated on because of Pinkbikes mostly DH/FR/DJ environment. Yes I absolutely agree with you.

 Gay...

The intro yes, but overall the video is pretty sweet. I'd love to test myself and do BCBR one day.

First they launched the so called 24hr premiere bc movie which is pretty boring , fav count speaks the truth. not saying the race is boring but the video is. now this.

I thought it was ok too, I mean nothing wild, just a bunch of regular endurance racers doing endurance racing. Shows it pretty well. Music is good. Can't complain.

a VOD should get me pumped and want to go ride... could fall asleep after this

I agree about the endurance and and challenge but I dont think I can bring myself to wear those ridiculous looking tights no matter what you pay me.

watching the British GP was more exciting than this
