i know a few people who have broken there femurs
and been able to ride again
tyler klassen broke his, and hes back riding
and my buddy stephen konkin broke his in the summer
and he just started being able to road bike again

my friend broke both of hs femurs in a moto accident, air-lifted out and had to be in a wheelchair for a while, but he is perfect now. except the fact the he just shattered his jaw, hes okay now though.

if he snapped his femur it would take alot more then 4 months to ride again, my dad broke his femur and that was like 20 years ago and he couldnt even run afterwards, and thats after 2 years of therapy

I was playing hockey 5 months after i broke mine, and i had it re-broken/ Repositioned after a month. Of course, I had a titanium rob put inside to hold it together. your dad didn't experience the technology back then like they have now, I believe the 4 months.

he broke his femur, he's riding again, he broke it in about June. are you guys daft? trust me. he couldn't walk for about 2 months, then he started walking short distances, and now he's jumping his bike again (though timidly lol). if you think that's impossible, well...i guess you're just semi-retarded or something.

if you rupture your femoral artery you will bleed to death in 3 to 4 mins.

i snapped my femur a few years ago... Metal pin right down the middle of the bone, 4 months on crutches, about 6 months of therapy to get my leg bending again, coz the scar tissue was holding it straight, then a couple of months hobbeling about, before i could handle peddeling again. Took near on 2 years to make a full recovery because the mussles in that leg just wasted away while i was off it so i had no strength there for a long time.
