nice filming, djjon, the panning was super smooth and he put in a good mix of stills and fisheyes, and i bet if he only did still shots you would have made a comment about how he needs more panning in the vid...
I agree with dj-jon, cool vid and all but a few to many panning shots, use em less and they look better - creative criticism no need to fly off the handle like 'steveprice'

damn everyone involved major props, this is epicness of epic proportions, this has my VOD vote for sure.
Cos when they were built the land owner had moved to another country so he didn't seem to care what happened. Anyway now the castle at the bottom has been sold and started to be rebuilt as a tourist attraction.
Forestry commision came up one day and saw the large amount of rubbish down at the jumps (after endless times going round litter picking and it getting just as bad in a weekend it was given up on). They oviously decided to flatten the jumps and cut trees down over the trails to stop us going up there.

Im not sure, it doesnt have the lines like that when i exported it, only when i uploaded it on to here. :S

they arent our jumps, the land belongs to the castle and they have been doing it back up i guess to sell it on, the newspapers cant do anything.
tbf the place was a shit hole, there was litter everywhere, maybe if we had picked up our litter they might ahve considered not leveling it but i guess we all blew it.

i think every body that rides rhyd y foel will miss it bit i wont miss some of the people that went up there

The trouble with just going back up there and building it again is it'll just get knocked back down in a few months and then we'll look like pests on their land and they'll be holding is in contempt.
If there's any hope of rebuiliding the trails up there it has to be done properly by making a commitee and presenting our case to the land owners sensibly and not just building stuff without permission.
Lets face it, I doubt anyone ever had permission to build up there in the first place and you can imagine if a load of people randomly turned up at your back garden and started digging holes everywhere and leaving mountains of litter everywhere you'd get pretty annoyed and not to mention the fact that if anyone ever fell over in one of these said holes you'd probably get sued to the hills, I reckon I'd of done the same as the land owners at Rhyd y Foel to be honest.
I still think though that if people go about it properly with a well organised club and rules that there's a possibility of trails up there again. It just needs careful planning by a few appointed people to talk on behalf of the majority of people wanting to ride up there and then to be presented to the landowners profesionally showing careful consideration not only to the positivies like if we're riding we're not vandalising stuff etc but also to the negatives such as what happens if someone falls off and hurts themselves? What plans and procedures are in place in case that happens? How would we address the issue of litter and chavs? etc etc etc

i totaly agree with all that has been sed here but cos the site is a site of special intrest i dout very much we will even get close to make a club or something up there but i dont mind giving is a go

Very nic shots, but next time please use deinterlace filter on Your editing program. Also I have a feeling that the music is more dynamic than the video.

sold edit. what were you using for all those pan shots? looked like i saw a few cable cams, any dollyS?
my only critique is too much use of fisheye. its meant to be used really upclose, not shots that are 40 feet away.

how is it to repetitive tricks....if your racing on a downhill track do you
A) perform tricks
B) go fast and perform a whip now and then
(its 'B') your hardly going to see any variety in tricks on a video like this because it wasnt made to contain tricks....

maybe its just me but wholy hell why does every video have to start off with the rider pushing his bike up the hill? I am going to start my video off with me pushing my bike DOWN the hill! HA
Any vid that makes me wand to go out and ride is a good vid. That's a smooth trail as well as the riding. Excellent!

some of the shots were a bit dark but the editing was mint and the hub clicking adds a cool effect. Sucks that the place got torn down cause it looked sweet
