Riding Above The Capital

Riding up on the front ridge of the Pentlands above the city of Edinburgh.

 Cheers - starts at Hillend, the woods are by Hillend Ski slope then Caerketton is the steep rocky parts and then it finishes over Allemuir. The trails in the Hillend woods are so tight its pretty tough to ride but there's some nice sections.

 yeah I've been there once before ages ago, I mainly ride around thriepmuir there are some pretty awesome trails around there

 I normally just go to Bonaly, so it was nice to try and find some naturally decent techy spots. I used to do a lot more xc longer distance stuff on my old bike so round to thriepmuir and near black hill - perhaps I'll venture across there some time soon. Even considering the weather it was amazing how dry it was, the Pentlands are almost always wet haha
